The US YouTube channel "Still Watching Netflix" appears to have all the musical numbers. They have been up for two days, so maybe they won't get taken down. Unless they're hiding, I think they already have been.

The Truss energy package was the single biggest welfare programme in the history of the country and Tory MPs boasted it was 2-3 times more generous than any other country had implemented (it was). It was open-ended and had no maximum cost. 2-3 times more expensive than any other country had implemented, which isn't necessarily the same thing. Ask the French, whose energy price increases are capped at 4% this year and 15% next year, whether they'd sooner have had the "generous" increase we got at the start of this month.

One of the shortest tenures of Prime Minister over. The shortest, in fact, by a couple of months and some change. It's also been pointed out that her leadership campaign lasted longer than her leadership.

Word is he's cutting his holiday short to fly back in case there's a chance of him getting on the ballot.

I could see it happening, perhaps, some way down the road, when enough time has passed for enough people to have let his faults and transgressions slip from their working memory, and I believe this was his plan; but Truss turned out to be rather more immediately and indefensibly useless than he had hoped for, and I can't see him getting back onto the ballot so soon. Especially with the Privileges Committee investigation still ongoing.

Curella - ha ha. I love it. I suspect she will now spend her time to the hatred of tofu. Her speech yesterday was dreadful. A drunken rant in pub carpark springs to mind I'm not sure why she has such hatred for tofu, it's lovely! I bet you read the Guardian as well, you wokeratus!

Now Therese Coffey has waded in with the ridiculous, not to mention highly dangerous, notion that pharmacists will be able to give out antibiotics without the patient first going to a GP. She then openly admits to breaking the law by sharing her medication with friends and family. I'm genuinely running out of expletives and exhalations of exasperation for this Government. They've gone so far below the bottom of the barrel I don't know what else they can do. They will, though. www.thetimes.co.uk/article/chemists-to-prescribe-antibiotics-under-coffey-health-plan-gjvfnb6q5Whenever I've been prescribed antibiotics, the doctor has stressed the need to complete the course and not to stop taking them when I feel better. I am not a medical expert but it seems to me that you can't just take a couple and expect them to work. Quite. She's probably crawling with half-treated bacterial infections.

It's time for a National Government. No election. Just two years of politicians working together not fighting. I've already seen reports of Tory MPs discussing the possibility of a Government of National Unity. Unfortunately when I saw the names being suggested as being in such a government, it was clear what they were thinking of was a Government of Tory Unity.

I'd like to see the proportion of "don't know"s in those polls. From what I hear, Labour's massive lead is more down to a collapse of support for the Tories than any significant increase for Labour.

They seem to have neatly pivoted from the usual excuse of "It's the last Labour government's fault" (presumably having realised it's a bit late in the day to still be blaming them), and are now trying it on with "It's the next Labour government's fault." Desperate stuff.

He has implied that they're pretty much only going to be bothered with Muslims. And of course we can take their word for that! All the lies and U-turns mean that nobody is safe with these numptie Fascists in charge. For the avoidance of doubt, I wasn't suggesting it would be a good thing to make the programme more Islamophobic. Fwiw, I'd sooner they put more emphasis on the growing danger of extreme right-wing radicalisation, but it seems that any attempts to tackle that, or even to acknowledge it, are frowned upon.

Could this get any wackier? Now Sunak wants to detain and "re-educate" anyone who seeks to vilify Britain without defining the terms of what that actually means. It might be a bit expensive if they have to lock up 50% of Northern Ireland and possibly even more in Scotland. Granted it's aimed at potential terrorists, but it's deliberately so vague that it could be read as anyone who speaks out of turn can be locked up on a whim. And I thought Truss Dorries Moggy and Patel were on the batsh*t crazy team. He has implied that they're pretty much only going to be bothered with Muslims.

As well as the advice about when to have windows, blinds and curtains open and closed, it's cheaper, and better for the environment is to get one of those water sprays that you can use to mist your plants, or for dampening your hair. Spraying the air makes it a bit like being near a fountain, and spraying soft furnishings, including closed curtains, will enhance the cooling, especially if you can incorporate a breeze. In the high heat I was working with a damp towel over the back of my chair, creating my own mini-micro-climate, and when super-hot I had a damp flannel that I would use to wipe my face, arms and neck. All that plus ice-cream for lunch. When I had to go out last Monday afternoon, I took one of those sprays with me and was spraying myself quite regularly. It definitely helped a lot.

I have a feeling this will be the Conservative version of when Labour chose the wrong milliband to lead them and then lost election. Do the Tories even have a right Milliband at present?

Can’t stand either of them but I think Liz Truss could actually be dangerous. She’s totally clueless. She could be more dangerous in the short term, but if she ensures a Tory defeat at the next election she could be the less dangerous option long-term.

So much of it is CGI at this point. They clearly don't have the budget for quantity and quality. In particular I'm utterly fed up with CGI puppets having CGI fights.

Of course he isn’t, the BBC pay his wages. Quite an alarming unhinged rant against Tory voters there: “You are voting for murderers, bastards, abusers and liars." Lapped up by his devoted followers. If anyone on the right gave a speech like that like that he’d call them fascists. "Murderers" is the only one of those I'd question. Legally I believe the charge would be corporate manslaughter. Bastards, abusers, and liars - no arguments there.

I know you were talking non-middle aged white men, but I was thinking ability this morning. 1990 leadership race contained Margaret Thatcher, Michael Heseltine, Douglas Hurd and John Major. I know the party has lurched to the right and the last prime minister probably filled the cabinet with yes men but 1990 was heavy weight. Not too much talent to select from Major was hopeless, but I agree in general. Same with Labour. Their best candidate in terms of broad appeal, Burnham, isn't even an MP. A very professional slick operation from Team Sunak with websites and videos and so on. That will count heavily against him with both MPs and members. Major wasn't even in the same league of hopelessness as the current crop.

It’s annoying if you’re watching live, but don’t MPs of all parties just keep repeating themselves largely because they know that the press will only clip out a few seconds anyway for a soundbite, which is itself repeated constantly as they try to fill a 24 hr news programme. Glad to see Boris on his way out, finally, after a great many scandals. Also quite happy to see Priti Patel come next to last in that Yougov poll. It wasn't a live interview, and I've never seen MPs, especially a leader do it so obviously so consistently in a short amount of time. It was just very strange This one comes to mind:

Can't help worrying what more damage he can do in the next 3 months. He'll have to be gone way sooner if he can't muster enough supporters for a cabinet, though, surely?

In the Doctor's own chronology, Tennant's regeneration was, and will remain, his last ever episode. (Unless they're planning something along the lines of Tom Baker's appearance in the 50th Anniversary.)
But also yes, it's probably just a carelessly written article.

This. Imagine having voted for him? Imagine having voted for the alternative - a bunch of anti-Semitic Putin apologists advising a leader who has now had the Labour whip removed. Corbyn was by no means perfect, but Anti-Semitism in the party reduced under his leadership, and the Tories are way more compromised wrt Russia than Corbyn ever was. You appear to have fallen, like many others, for a very successful smear campaign.

"Call my W1Agent," if you will. (The writer is John Morton, who also wrote W1A, and let's just say his style of writing dialogue is very recognisable.) Did he also write 2012? As Jack Davenports assistant seemed to be channeling Olivia Colemans character in that series. Yes, that was also him. There do seem to be a number of stock characters in his toolkit - a few in Ten Percent are recognisably similar to characters in W1A.

Ten Percent on Amazon Prime. I believe its the British version of Call My Agent. Lots of cameo performances and it's rather good. I'm about half way through the series and only started watching it this afternoon. "Call my W1Agent," if you will. Can't wait for the government to start trumpeting the massive drop in cases that will come next week, whilst the untested prevalence continues to hit new highs.

Let's be honest, with the whole 'comedy roast' culture that's purposely offensive, someone was gonna get a slap eventually. Just a shame it wasn't Gervais Ricky is a genius and one of the funniest people I've ever worked with. There is not a malicious bone in the man's body and he does an awful lot behind the scenes that people don't see. I know you might not believe me, but I've worked on some of Ricky's shows and he is one of the classiest and most giving stars I've dealt with. A few of the most famous "nice guy" comedian celebrities (one southern, one very northern) have abhorrent views they actually believe, rather than jokes they tell on a stage for shock/laughs. It's funny how the world works. Specifically on your point, Ricky Gervais clearly loathes the rich, white, male dominated Hollywood scene and frankly he talks more sense than most. He is an outsider to it all - by choice. That's why his perfect laser incision was so lauded, he isn't "one of them". I know of at least a couple of people to whom he's offered/given money to let him bully them for a laugh, who might disagree with you about how classy he is, but OK.
