I think it was a one off for the 40th anniversary this year. It is a real shame the poor sound came across on radio, I assumed it was my poor people seats that had the problem!

I know work's work but genuinely surprised to see actors like Michael Brandon and Imogen Stubbs (I know she isn't with Sir Trev but still) at a theatre like this and for it to be selling so badly. Is it price? Lack of awareness? The play?

Didn't Laurence Fox get slagged off rather badly in his last theatre outing? Something based on a film - Strangers on a Train? Anyway, yes, this does look good and had gone under my radar - do we think it might transfer? (Gonna put that in the FAQ threat too!) Does anything ever transfer from here? I am still waiting for The Gathered Leaves!

I am bit disappointed by Hampstead announcements so far. I am far looking forward to their festival rather than any plays!

Thanks for the recommendations. West End Frame, plus Baz and you lot, meet my requirements.

You should have been in the Gods with me, Jean. I saw everything but the bow tie! ? I wasn't familiar with Finishing the Hat or even much Sondheim he does seem like a whiny old man, even if he wasn't that old when writing these songs. I loved Elaine's dress but I am part magpie. I am terrified Daniel Evans Chichester reign will just be lots of duets between him and Maria! How utterly filthy was that Cole Porter song about tops and bottoms though. Talk about knowing their audience.

So good, I almost leaped out of my chair when Clive Rowe started singing Sit Down You're Rocking the Boat. Loved his version since I saw it the NT 50th Anniversary.
Plus Paige in a gold dress. What more could a girl want for £12! What a well put together show. I could have stayed for hours more!

Is there an alternative for theatre news/casting? It is the main reason I go there as I don't always read the emails from theatres.

Not until February but really looking forward to it, thought a shame Oliver Ryan is in Stratford as he was excellent as Charles Kean in the Tricyle version.

Wasn't it revealed that Parsley is a lady on The Bend It like Beckham thread and not the homosexual gentleman of a certain age I had assumed her to be!
I am still clutching pearls in shock, to be honest

I sat in J12, after getting some GILT tickets, and I was surprised at how good the view was. The seating is raked so no worries about a tall person in front. I thought the leg room was above average (didn't have to get up if they stomped down the aisle) so I would recommend circle over stalls in my experience.

Foxa, you seem an educated woman of the world and if you are struggling then I am sure plenty who wouldn't know Game of Thrones if it bit them on the bottom will be too.
I just think these starry vehicles from Llloyd have been anything but. Branagh at the Garrick-starry, Nicole at the Noel Coward-starry, James McAvoy at the Trafalgar- Starry.
Gary Kemp, a supporting character in a online only series and gorgeous Kit-not starry.
Homecoming was not selling well, I am unsure about Maids (guessing a lot are hanging on for £15 Mondays?) and Kit may sell well but I am not sure people are as familiar with Dr Faustus-compared to Shakespeare, despite it being done all the time.

I am going, have some probably awful £12 seats at the back but should be a good night regardless!

The bizarre "Is this real life" comment on Dusty thread had me crying with laughter.

Hoping this counts but I sat next to Guy Garvey at the BFI, Racheal Stirling was on the other side of him. Michael Gambon was also in the audience.
In Memorium to theatre lover Alan Rickman, I do wonder if well-known actors read the forum to get their information like we do.

I kept my weird name and avatar. I might change it to the proper spelling once I am established.
I live in Streatham and on average I see 1-2 shows a week. My likes include plays, theatre on film, ginger men, SRB and silver fox actors such as Alex Jennings.

I am finally seeing The Play That Goes Wrong on Wednesday.
I've been going to NT Archive this week to watch plays too. I would highly recommend it if based in London.
