I saw this tonight and had an enjoyable time. It's a fun and imaginative show. I remember enjoying it the last time round too, but I have a terrible memory so can't particularly recall the revolves that everyone is discussing, but I can see how at least one would be useful to have. There were a couple of odd moments with presumably automated scenery going a bit wrong and stage managers pushing stuff on. Can someone tell me what's supposed to happen in the last moments? I think something went wrong - someone wheeled on a bench very quickly and then the scene ended fairly abruptly. There was also a 5 minute show stop when there was a commotion in the Stalls, did anyone see what happened? I was also at this show and half saw what happened from the Upper Circle - it seemed like an audience member fainted and slumped over, so their friend called for the show to be stopped as they tried to help them. I think they regained consciousness pretty quickly but then left the theatre. Other than this, I thought it was an excellent show. It was kind of a dream fulfilled to finally see it, after being unable to see the original run and spending most of 2017 hammering the Broadway cast recording. For an early preview the staging seemed pretty slick to me (though I was of course free from making comparisons to the original revolve). Andy Karl is every bit as good as my brain had built him to be from the OBCR and Tanisha Spring sounds incredible as Rita. Really hope this production will get a life beyond the Old Vic!

Finally got round to seeing this yesterday at the matinee, with half the cast being standbys (including Jennifer Tierney's first show as Beverley!). Truly, truly loved it and any discomfort caused by the heat was truly swept away by the joy and energy of this show. I was continually crying for the last 10 minutes!
Jennifer was really excellent and you'd never know it was her first show in this track, particularly when hearing her sing Me and the Sky.
We also had: Kirsty Malpass as Bonnie, Chiara Baronti as Diane, Tania Mathurin as Hannah, Brandon Lee Sears as Bob and Bob Harms as Kevin T/Garth. All equally brilliant as were the rest of the regular cast.

Can finally relax about my tickets now - went through the Ticketmaster email to rebook my tickets after we were initially sent to the middle of February, and process was completely painless thankfully. Still miffed about the mess and that I won't get to see it for an extra four months but the seats are better than they were at least.

Anyone know if there's a way of getting the under-25 tickets from the TodayTix offer? I might have just got there too late.

Saw Andrew Scott at the matinee for Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? today. Doubletaked at the same time as the man in front of me on the way to the toilets!

Yes, it does seem like it varied between people who found it very easy and very difficult! I also personally found it quite difficult to book my tickets and lost out quite a few times (tickets had been sold after waiting 10 minutes in the queue for them). Strange! Yep, same happened with me. They would 'secure my tickets' for 10 minutes then after they'd be gone. Happened 4/5 times. I too had this issue! After 2 attempts with the same result, I refreshed and let them select the tickets instead and after two tries with that I got a set I was happy with and managed to snatch them. A very stressful half-hour in all, but it eventually paid off. I'm jealous of those who had it done in 10 minutes!

Can't book yet but looking at seats to see what's in my price range (the £57.50 category). Where do you guys think would provide a better view, back of the stalls or the grand circle?

Tomorrow's matinee of She Loves Me for me, very excited since I haven't seen anything in London since the summer!

Also managed to grab a Row C £15 seat for May - god bless this board, I first had a look and considered it too expensive before checking here and discovering the bargain seats!

The Letter from Billy Elliot will creep up on me and get me every time. EVERY. TIME. In full agreement with this. I barely ever blub in the theatre but this is a moment that truly gets me.

Managed to score two tickets in the Friday Forty today! I couldn't believe it when I actually made it through to the ordering page. I first tried to get Saturday tickets but they seemed to be sold out by the time I got there, so I tried Wednesday and managed to get two tickets, stalls row G for both parts. I couldn't believe my luck and I'm so excited to actually be seeing the show!

Recently I've really enjoyed the Into the Woods film. The musical is too fitted to theatre to fully and properly work on film but I still really enjoyed it. The cast all gave great performances and sounded pretty good (Emily Blunt was the highlight for me) and I find it greatly enjoyable to watch.
Hairspray is pretty much the best example of adapting stage to film too, and I love it for pretty much being my gateway into a love for musicals and theatre.
