Evenin' all. Is anybody going to see this tomorrow night? Just wondered if there were any interval 'hello's to be had. I'll be in drag and wearing a scarf littered in blonde hairs, as a tribute to our sexy Bert.

Adam James and a couple of other actos of his generation whose names escape me were at The Ferryman toay involved in some complicated game of musical chairs. Was sat next to Adam James's daughter a couple of years ago during Bull at Young Vic. She got really embarrassed when he was showing off his torso. She had to look away. I didn't.

Nick Payne and Sara Kestelman at Gloria at the Hampstead tonight. Had my friend timed things better, he would have been urinating next to Mr Payne in the non-gender-neutralised facilities.

Really enjoyed this tonight. First half felt like perfect Friday night theatre I needed, lots of very acerbic humour & felt very "on the nose" with regards to the modern day work environments. Really enjoyed the direction it took in the second half & felt all uncomfortable by the end. Great stuff.
Didn't realise from her headshot that one of the actors was the sister from 'Fleabag''. Got proper thrilled when she turned up. Morgan, Kendrick and Gbadamosi all very impressive.
"What's wrong? You look like you've just raped yourself" is going to be my new welcome greeting too.

Guys, aren't we being a bit premature here? One poster really liked it and one other didn't. Let's not all throw our tickets back all at once. Alice, we have a fine and long standing tradition on the board of condemning shows before viewing them, subsequently declaring we will not be attending them, but then ultimately posting: "Went to this last night despite reservations..." This tradition MUST be allowed to be upheld. But it can't be good for you, can it? All that contempt. Comments on the CFT facebook have been positive, except for somebody who didn't like the downbeat ending. Let's hope next year that Daniel programmes a musical version of Stephen King's 'The Mist'. Speaking of happy endings, @ryan, are you still up for that fiddle on the roof with me & Mrs L? We're going on the 27th...

Nah I'd be all over Queen Una. Not Zoe Wanamaker either. Or Anita Dobson. I want to say she does have a name beginning with 'A' though.... Anita Harris?

I saw a famous actress walking up Charing Cross road yesterday and can I for the life of me place her...no! it's really annoying me.
She was a British actress, probably in her 60s, short reddish brown hair. Possibly very BBC type....
This has been a useless update. Una Stubbs?

It's CFT What were you expecting Its the very definition of mediocrity Are you sure the definition of mediocrity isn't "whatever the last thing Parsley said to get some attention was"?

I noticed the actors all had radio mics. As do an awful lot of actors in plays now. In the Olivier, Lyttleton & even in WAOVW at the Harold Pinter

I embarrassingly mumbled to Charlie Stemp (as he was undressing) Is this something he offers inclusive of the ticket price? 😃

I really hate the thought of schlepping to Chichester for this but I *do* love a nice fiddle on the roof. After the show, perhaps?

I, for one, thought it was a very good play and am glad it's being revived. You won't be able to smell the chinese takeaway they eat at the back of the Trafalgar Studios though.

So, I stand corrected (said the man in the orthopedic shoe!)
A friend who's just been on holiday with a costumer in the 'biz, said that while they were away, he was contacted about working on this and that filming kicks off pretty soon.
No word concerning leading ladies though. The Spielberg Meryl is doing starts filming May 22nd and he is very good at quick shoots in his old age, since ditching the rubber shark. So, who knows?!!!

Eavesdropping during the interval and after in the car park along with listening to seat neighbours around me there was a general feeling of befuddlement. Lots of comments on not understanding what was happening, not being what they expected etc etc I don't think this is particularly uncommon amongst CFT regulars unfortunately. Listening to one of their excellent pre-show talks on their YouTube channel, I remember hearing that 'Top Girls' back in 2011 had a similar effect.

...and the parents of Elaine Page on Sunday's producer Jessica were also there according to twitter. Unless their names are Frank & Betty Spencer, you must have just won the award for the least famous entry in this entire thread!

I can't find this anywhere online. Are you sure it's not like that time a boy at my school, who'd just moved back from Germany, told me he'd been to see Home Alone 90?

...is everything. That is all. And don't pretend I'm the only person who made a special trip to Sainsbury's to buy it on release day, I know you gays. I had to go to Tesco. I wouldn't have been able to physically buy a copy anywhere else since HMV in Brighton closed. I remember buying 'Gold: Greatest Hits' in Woolworths.

Saw this today. Shame they cut out all the songs but still very good. Loved Imelda's silent scream/choke thing at the end. Definitely enough to put you off marriage, academia & alcohol though.
Sat in E1 in Dress Circle which was green on Theatremonkey but wasn't a great view. Could only ever see the legs of whoever was sat in the chair next to the sofa on stage left. Managed to move to A1 after the interval though which was ace. Was sad to leave behind a nice New Yorker in E2 though. He recently paid $300 to see Hello, Dolly on BW and I never got to tell him that was my going rate for the evening too! Nevermind, there'll be others.
Had a strange experience before it started where the Fire Marshall removed by rucksack from the theatre while I'd gone to the non-unisex lavatory. Apparently, you can't trust anybody nowadays, even if they are a friend of Imelda!

Started a thread that got closed down, I forgot about this one. Well as the locked thread suggests "The West End Gets its First Unisex Toilet". The Vaudeville Theatre. I used this just last week due to the excitement of seeing Amanda Holden! The gents is in fact just urinals, so you have to use the unisex if you need to do more. Or if you're pee-shy. In which case the alley probably isn't advisable either

If it is fiddler who do you think will play tevye? For some odd reason I feel it could be Michael ball and I don't know if that would work. Never fear, it's Omid Djalili!! Also Alan Bennett's Forty Years On starring Richard Wilson & a play about Charles "cough" Ingram by James Graham

Said this several times on here and would love to see them do work by Paul Simon who seems to be a bit neglected recently. A new jukebox musical? Or did you mean Neil?

Well after Glynis I don't think I could handle another Lear so soon. Up for a Fiddle though and I'm hoping it's the trilogy not just the one conquest Also, they did Lear in 2013 and 2005 so I think we could all do with a break. Rory Kinnear to play Norman, please.
