I’m sorry? Is it not a decent starting salary? Has peoples sense of financial worth really risen to such entitled heights where you don’t have to work your way up a ladder? In some sectors that's not a bad salary with experience. I'm shocked anyone would think 27k isn't a good starting salary. After 25 years in the nhs front line during Covid working with terminally ill patients and complex mental health needs and getting paid just £469 per year over that so it’s not to be sniffed at … for some of us in the nhs now that’s as much as we will ever get .. so to start on that …… 🤔🌈

Likely to be a legal minefield if it's the 'true' Bucks Fizz story. Bobby Gee retains the rights to use the name and relations between him and the three other original members are NOT good. A partisan story that makes one side or the other to be the bad guys probably wouldn't get off the ground, I reckon. Worse than that! Isn’t it Bobby Gee’s WIFE that holds the rights? Sadly yes what a mess ….. mind you remember when David van day took over for a few years 😵💫😵💫😵💫

My thoughts exactly, maybe a two hit wonder. They aren’t ABBA or any other group. a little bit more than a 2 hit wonder they do have some really great songs which I think would be great in a musical 11 top 20 singles Over 50 million record sales Many people wouldn’t know the drifters , temptations , etc bit they still made musicals about them for example Depends on if it’s gonna be the actual fizz story I guess or just using the songs .. but with all the fall outs , coach crash winning Eurovision … David van day defecting to Bucks fizz from dollar trying to take over blimey 😳 could be fun after all

I’ve not seen this for a few years after seeing you tube clips of the Hamburg production and Brazil I think it looks and feels dated compared to them wish it would have a refresh

I noticed this is in Birmingham next week not selling well at all they are advertising tickets from £25 …. But then have none on sale … rear circle off sale almost all week … but no ticket offer or discounts anywhere Partially why I asked about the cancelled Coventry dates above as I reckon the prices would've been a bit cheaper there. It feels like this show would've been better off going to the Alexandra or even the Rep, which is a shame to see it struggle considering it had so much hype and won awards in the West End. I can see why they thought the hippodrome for this piece Edward scissorhands last week was almost sold out every night . I thought this would sell better but ticket prices are very high I do agree would have been a better fit at the rep and maybe would have been more fairly priced too …. It a shame I saw this in the west end and Loved it 🥰 really great theatre and staging was excellent . Can’t see why they thought taking rear circle off sale was a good idea without releasing cheaper tickets elsewhere ?? Or at least a travel zoo offer 🫤

Unbelieveable but I went to an early preview the megamix wasn't in the finale which meant Waterloo was never sung in the show.A boat bought on during the show was named Waterloo. It also meant the male leads didn't wear the Abba catsuits and the female leads only wore them for Super Trooper in the main show. Don't know when the megamix was finally added. Yes I remember that too I was at one of the middle previews and were sat in front on benny and bjorn …. My friend who knew one of the theatre managers at the time asked how it had been going and he said they weren’t happy with the ending and were a bit upset so we’re trying something new tonight Originally I recall the moon then the boardwalk rising from the floor as they walk along into the distance. …. I remember wishing the ABBA would appear in the moon lol sadly it didn’t. But stage lights faded out then end Then after bows. A pause then The big lighting rigs came down and the party began everyone was up dancing and singing Benny and Byorn had huge grins on there faces Afterwards the theatre staff told us audience reactions up until that day had been quite lack lustre it was the first time it got such a great reaction

John McCrea at the Crucible Sheffield was perfection. It’s been watered down since then to stunt casting, Michelle Visage and Bianca Del Rio and performers who have “sass” but no heart (Layton Williams I’m looking at you) I’ll never go and see it again, it’s too disappointing and a massive stretch from the incredible original we saw in Sheffield which connected with so many. I totally agree I saw the original run in Sheffield and was blown away by it …and also the original west end run . It’s has seemed the last few tours etc have been tweaked and tweaked and had some questionable casting choices ….. I’ve seen the show around 12 times …. But after seeing Layton on tour .. it put the nail in the coffin for me … ruined every love I had for this show …… I was hoping the new casting would help me fall in love with the show again but after seeing it on tv 📺 hmmmmm think I’ll give it a miss ….

Saw the show tonight went with friends who didn’t know many of the shows or songs … enjoyable show for them in most parts Bonnie got one of the biggest applause 👏 of the evening . BP was in good voice and very comical throughout. Was a bit perturbed at the opening with Lea. When she spoke her voice seemed a bit slurred did get me a bit worried . But throughout the show she was great glad they gave her the right material for her voice now which isn’t what it was but hey BP it’s BP in person ! Second half we thought was much better than first some great performances standing ovation at the end … not sure if anyone else there tonight noticed one actress nudged BP forward in the end number looked quite assertive from the circle 3/5 fro our friends 4/5 from me What do you mean nudgd her foward?? Literally that …. It was at the end BP was at back of the stage other actress was bottom of the steps as they all moved round Bp was still standing towards back of stage … other actress nudged her forward she took a few steps rather quickly then carried on to the front ? Wonder if she was in the wrong position ?

Saw this tonight Row AA omg 😱 it’s close says high stage but wasn’t too high for us I’m 6ft lots of leg room under the stage overhang but you face is literally next to the stage lol ….
Great view you could see every nook cranny and crease I’m not saying where either 🤔😊 but omg 😱
A fun evening I agree with all other comments Luke and Penelope have a great connection a couple of stumbles over lines from both tonight but we can forgive them anything
Some of the one liners made me think of Margo / Audrey Forbes Hamilton …. A few real laugh out loud moments quite a few chuckles and some more poignant moments
One ruined by the women behind ooo ing and coooing at the corgis awwww how cute awwww bless look at his face … totally ruining Penelope’s lines ..
I see what people mean about that scene. Did seems a bit extreme compared to the rest of the evening but I get what it means
A really great supporting cast. Lovely set. Great theatre staff too which really helps an evening out
Looked like a full house and standing ovation 👏 for final bows I’d go again 4/5

good smash-hit pop classics, it’s Club Tropicana the musical UK Tour.
Club Tropicana the musical UK Tour
It’s a time when hair was big, shoulders were padded and mobile phones were shaped like bricks and weighed a tonne! Take a fun-packed trip back in time to the electric 80’s with the world premiere of Club Tropicana The Musical UK Tour, a summer adventure of love in the sun, with a soundtrack of smash-hit pop classics – it really is the feel-good musical of the year!
When our budding bride and groom get cold feet, they decide to jet off separately to sunnier climes and feel the heat – but little do they know they’ve checked into the same hotel… the vibrant Club Tropicana!
Sounds like a few similarities

The plot sounds a little like that 80s club Tropicana musical few years back with Joe maceldry in it ?

Something I wanted to add caught me off guard to begin with , if u do get a chance of front row or close ….. Nicole picks out certain people in certain parts when performing and looks at you straight in the eye with such intensity makes u feel it’s just you and her in the room ❤️🎭

If you leave all that behind and go with fresh eyes and ears it’s Incredible… Nicole was amazing tonight loved her in the part … full standing ovation after aiwnsgb …. I was row b stalls which was great as no noisy eating or talking …. Could have strangled the person whose phone 📱 went off right at and now mr Demille …. I mean turn ya bloody phone off !! Exhilarating night at the theatre 🎭 no £20 left … so looks like I’m saving up for another ticket … sadly next time a bit further back and to thd side lol 😆

What’s the best and most reliable way to get decently priced tickets for this? We managed to get £20 tickets for just a few days before closing but the rave reviews have made us think we’ll want to see it more than once. £30 lottery, relying on dynamic pricing, other means? How can we see it without paying fortunes but still getting good seats? Should have booked more than one occasion with the £20 seats *sigh* I saw it tonight and now feels that same … x

I’d heard it was hoping to go straight to Broadway. …. But then if the Imo far superior Whats new pussycat couldn’t get a London transfer ?? Despite full standing ovations every night ….. who knows Tina Sinatra has been in both times I’ve gone back of stalls on laptop taking notes 📝 don’t get me wrong it’s an enjoyable show very expensive looking show too … just didn’t grab me

Saw it again tonight …. Better audience reaction standing ovation about 3/4 full Didn’t notice anything particularly different tonight but it did appear to flow better and be a little tighter … would still benefit from about 15 minutes cut out of it ….a couple of short scenes just feel odd esp with the soldiers And wish each scene with a star in it wouldn’t start with. Gene Kelly ……. Or a woman walks on and it’s “ well if it isn’t Lana turner “ hello Ava gardener how are you “ etc it’s literally every new character that appears on stage Frank name check them obv so audience know who they are but must be a clever way ? Took my 2 friends tonight not Avid theatre goers they loved it both gave 5/5 and said straight after that was fantastic loved every second So what do I know Lol 😝

And there was no entrance applause for her, which seemed odd to me. Blimey, I can't remember the last time I heard entrance applause - might have been for Peter O'Toole in Man and Superman at the Haymarket in 1982 but I'm not even sure about that. Agree that Felicity Kendal is woefully miscast in this though. Got to agree I’ve seen this production 3 times now as had offer tickets Liza Goddard slightly better than felicity Kendal who I love ❤️ but agree is totally miscast in this As a 40 th anniversary production it’s pretty ho hum I thought very laboured and drags When I think back to the amazing funny productions I’ve seen with Patricia hodge , Bridget Forsyth , and Maggie steed I msure Marcia warren too it’s sad to see I could be so much more x

He was mixed up with the Mafia wasn’t he? Does that get mentioned? Loads about Ava Gardner … think I recall like said above one line about nightclubs being owned by the mafia and I’m sure one of the mob bosses frank says he grew up with him when they were kids so of course he knows them Also a very random scene when a soldier walks past as he comes out of club and frank gives him his coat 🧥 to keep warm I expect but just felt a bit odd

I recall seeing the originally at the Shaftesbury they had boarded off the back half of the stalls with black panels … and was about 60 people in tickets was £12 I think 🤔 I remember enjoying it actually it was crazy but pretty funny hazy memory of him ab sailing from the the roof and then an old western timer shuffling across the stage to great comic effect

I agree with most of the comments and reviews above I enjoyed the evening it was very pleasant I found out things about Sinatra I never knew …it bobbed along nicely but never really flew to the heights it could .. it wasn’t quite what’s new pussycat which I saw 6 times and every performance got full standing ovation . First half is very long and I felt all of the story could have been covered on 15 mins … like the start of kinky boots did … every time a big song came on it was cut before it got going considering his back catalogue lots of them I’d never heard of …. The second half started off better some great comedy from the parents … nice addition of Judys come rain /shine … I finally thought wow this is going to be a big moment ❤️then it petered out before the money notes There was at least 2 points in the show where it could have been that show stop moment but they cut the songs or Petter them out for some dialogue to say how sad frank is etc Biggest disappointment was no My way I mean ok it may have come later in his career but New York was too but Is put in as a finale well part of it …. After 2 hours of Sinatra telling us how he lived his life his way ….. the audience were gagging for a big finale … tell us Frank …. ! After all this I did it my way …. Then there would have been a standing ovation 👏 🎶 As it was just over half full tonight about 15 people standing but good applause overall I did love the overall design. And set lighting band were very tight costumes fabulous and a very strong cast you could see the money on the stage It the first time I’ve seen them remove 2 or 3 front rows too and square off the stage definitely looks like they are hoping for a broadway transfer It has the bones of being a really good 4star show. But really needs a few changes and a couple of big highs … as they tell it at the moment it seems his early life was all lows and drudgery and yes it may well have been. But we need some more light or some high drama and dramatic moments Really hope they continue to tweak and get audience feedback

I would echo the comments above enjoyable but not as strong as the last couple the guy playing Jan 60 makes the play !!! He gets most of the laughs too , ED not so much doesn’t really embody AI as he does I was hoping for a little bit more TBH. Esp towards the end was hoping for some big laughs The first half I wax put off a little by the guy in front constantly texting 💬 and woman next to me whispering to her husband explaining the story I long for another haunting Julia , communicating doors etc I’d agree 3 stars ⭐️
