Tickets went on sale this morning at my local 'Light' cinema. It's being shown on Nov.10th at 17.00 and Nov.12th at19.30.
I was the first person to book! I saw the show 15 times including the unforgettable last night. Can't wait to see it again. Hope there's a DVD eventually.

I agree with every word you've said 'djp'.Thank you, you've managed to summarise all my thoughts and everything that's wrong with the 'New' production. I won't be seeing it again when it comes into London. No point in travelling to see an inferior product.

WOW! It looks fantastic!!! Can't wait to see it. Hope we don't have to wait too much longer. I've never missed a show as much as this one.
15 times wasn't nearly enough!

Really looking forward to seeing Dean and the rest of the new cast tomorrow afternoon! I'm not at all surprised that Vivien Parry was a highlight. She was fabulous in Twelfth Night! Really funny!!!
Looks like it'll be a very good year for Les Mis!

Vivien Parry will be fantastic as Mme Thenardier! Saw her recently in Twelfth Night in Stratford. She's a really wonderful actress and it will be great to see her alongside Steven Meo. Two Welshies together! They'll be hilarious. Great news!!!

Ooh I've got tickets in the Grand for the Alex on Saturday. May have to ring up and see what's happening to them. I had grand circle seats booked tonight and was upgraded to row C dress circle in the middle, so hopefully you'll have similar! The set is amazing for this, considering it's a touring show. The projections are also lovely. But apart from the set, I didn't love it. 2.5 stars. It was pretty dreary for me, and my family are (were) Tyneside ship builders and I still wasn't very moved. The score has some nice moments, but generally I found it a bit mundane. The cast were fine but I couldn't understand most of what the drunk guy said/shouted and the sound levels weren't great, especially near the start. I'm glad to report though that I send to be the minority. Half standing ovation in the dress circle. I agree with absolutely everything you've said! I thought it was just me!! Saw it in Liverpool last week and was getting quite bored towards the end.

OMgG - Thank god it is only 16 weeks! Ruined a good show Oh! How disappointing, but surely... 'There's a sunny side to every situation!'. Roll on July!!! It was really lovely to meet you and your friends on Saturday night. What a wonderful night it was. Absolute theatrical perfection! The whole cast gave 110%,(Stuart and Clare gave 200%!) and the audience wasn't bad either! I'm sure this cast will be great once they settle in but the First Cast will be very hard to beat. I'm looking forward to seeing Ashley Day when I go on Wednesday and the familiar faces of the 'Originals'. Hope you'll post some more thoughts after the show.

Anyone going next sat night ? Yes me! I'll be sitting in AA12. Please say hello if you're somewhere near me. Just couldn't miss Stuart and Norman's last night even though it means a 200 mile journey and overnight stay. It'll be my eighth time seeing this wonderful cast and then I'll be back down for the matinee on the 21st to see the newbies.

Oh yay, how exciting! So glad to hear hes back! Yes he was on, a great performance. Spoke afterwards to him, doing ok and breaking himself back in gently. Absolutely delighted to hear that news! Just sorry my grandson didn't get to see him last weekend. Philip was great but couldn't beat Stuart's ebullient personality. Hope he doesn't overdo it and will be back to full strength very soon. Just LOVE his performance! WELCOME BACK STUART!!!!

Thanks very much for your reply Stageyqueen.I'm sorry to hear Stuart is still quite a long way from full recovery but hope to see him back before cast change. I'm taking my grandson to the show on Saturday and think he would have particularly enjoyed Stuart's slightly 'over the top' and super energetic performance!

Does anyone know how Stuart Neal is doing? Hope he's O.K. I was really hoping he'd be back for next Saturday when I'm seeing the show for the fifth time but it looks like his injury was quite severe!

I’m surprised Follies beat 42nd Street! Me too! I can only think this was due to more people voting after seeing it in the cinema. I saw it at the National but didn't feel the need to see it again whereas 42nd Street.......!!!

They accepted my Validate UK proof of age, photo ID card at yesterdays matinee. I don't have a driving licence or an up to date passport, although I took my old one with me just in case.

Norman Bowman is leaving at cast change. Some cast members are still in negotiations regarding the next contract so it might be a while until we get official info about who is staying or leaving. Oh! That's a shame. Was hoping he might stay on as Julian. I've seen him three times and thought he was fantastic! When is cast change by the way? I really want to be there!

All hail the woman in the middle of the front row at 42nd Street matinee yesterday who decided she needed the loo during one of the big dance numbers. Having climbed over her section of the audience, when she reached the aisle, did she go up it? Oh no, she then opted to climb across those of us in the side section as well. I know! I was in seat A0 and couldn't believe it when she came back the same way!! Was it you I was chatting to in the interval and after the show? Never thought to ask whether you were on here!

I find nothing as thrilling as a bunch of characters singing over each other and independently expressing exactly what's going on in their mind. It has to be one of my favorite musical theatre devices, normally done as an Act I finale to wrap things up while ticking the box on so many characters sub-plots. Here's a list of my favorite. Curious what yours may be.. *Les Miserables (the mother of all counterpoint Act I Finales): One Day More *Les Miserables: Confrontation *Kiss of the Spiderwpman: Anything For Him *Hamilton: Non-Stop *Book of Mormon: Man Up *Great Comet: Letters (kind of) *West Side Story: America *Little Night Music: A Weekend in the Country *Chess: Model of Decorum and Tranquility ..any more? On a much smaller scale but my personal favourite-The Proposal from Titanic. Always find it so incredibly moving. Just take a look at the YouTube video of the Broadway Revival Cast Rehearsal. Three or four of the cast are reduced to tears!

These posts should be added to the thread I started last year for the amazing Jeremy SECOMB. There's no 'e' at the end of his name. He's leaving Les Mis on 15th July so you'll have to be quick if you want to see his incredible performance!
Best Javert ever!

So disappointed that Hayden Tee is returning, was really underwhelmed by his performance I just try and catch it with Jeremy Secomb before he leaves. I couldn't agree more Daniel. He's my least favourite Javert EVER! I've never heard such a peculiar voice. He sounds as if he's gargling while he's singing. Saw him twice and that was quite enough! Don't know what's going on at Les Mis lately but as a regular visitor to the show for 28 years I'm very disappointed in the way Delfont Mackintosh are alienating real fans of the show who, like myself, travel long distances to see other performers playing the various roles. It's ridiculous not allowing covers to say when they're on. Some of them recently have been much better than the leading performers they've replaced! There's no point at all in people like myself, and there are many of us, traveling multiple times to see the same show with exactly the same cast. Can anyone on here explain why they've decided to enforce this rule when it had been overlooked for so long? Their Twitter account has also gone from being the most entertaining and informative to the most BORING!!! Why have the cast been stopped from running it? Can anyone explain?

Understudy central tonight, understudies on for Valjean, Eponine, Thénardier, Bamatabois and The Factory Foreman. It's a lucky audience that sees Adam Bayjou as Valjean. Saw him last week and he was incredible! I'd say he's more of an alternate JVJ as he plays the role every Wednesday matinee and celebrated his 200th performance in 21 months with the show last week.
Not sure who's on for the other roles but the whole cast are very strong so I'm sure they'll be great!

Yes I've seen both and prefer James Gant. His portrayal is perhaps a little more reserved but this suits the role I think and his relationship with Zoe(Grazia) is really touching. He also brings out a lot of the humour of the piece through his facial expressions, which are just wonderful. He gives a masterclass in acting and his powerful and expressive voice is superb.
Wish I could see it again!

Do go to see this gem of a show if you haven't already.(Only 4 performances left!). Don't be put off by the title, it's absolutely beautiful, both musically and visually and has a fantastic cast! James Gant and Zoe Doano are sheer perfection, gorgeous voices and so convincing in this unusual romance. I know many people have been back several times, including myself 3 times and if I didn't live 200 miles away I'd happily see it again!
DON'T MISS IT!!!

Just thought I'd mention there's a TUESDAY matinee of 'Death takes a Holiday' at the Charing Cross Theatre tomorrow instead of Wednesday. Don't be put off by the title. It's a really beautiful show with a gorgeous score and fantastic cast. Well worth seeing! You'll have to be quick though as it closes on Saturday.

Rob Houchen was the best Marius I've seen in Les Mis, and I've seen quite a few over the years. He played the role for three years and has the most beautiful voice. I'm sure he has a great future ahead of him!

Gutted about Bayjey but it does mean I'll still get to see him in the show as cover. I haven't heard Simon Gleeson sing but please tell me he better than Peter. I'm not impressed by his performance of Bring him Home on the BroadwayWorld.com clip I've just watched. Lots of flat notes. Adam would have been my choice too. Superb vocals and acting every time. Just found a better video of Simon Gleeson singing Bring him Home on YouTube from the Australian production. He sounds much better on this one. Must have been having an off day in Manila!

This must be one of the only productions that was priced as high in London as it is being in New York. You didn't have to pay a lot though. I saw it three times, twice with Glenn and once with Ria, for £13.50 each time including booking fees and had a great view from the Balcony!
This and Titanic at Charing Cross, which I also saw three times, were the highlights of this year for me. Such wonderful scores and fantastic casts.
