So nice to see all the Poppins love!! It was what initially got me into theatre - absolutely loved it and have fond memories of it to this day. When will it re-open!! As for other Disney musicals - still haven't got around to seeing Aladdin as it doesn't excite me that much, but would love to see Beauty and the Beast. Enjoyed Anastasia on Broadway (is that Disney?) but I don't like it when shows are basically rehashes of the film (Lion King - except the opening which is amazing)

What was the Groundhog Day performance for those of us who didn't watch it?

Can't they do this as a concert instead...the score is beautiful but the plot is just staggeringly bad

This is very random and unimportant but just wondering - is the normal American pronunciation of Anastasia "Anastasha"? (not sure how to write it - but if you watch any of the opening night videos for example that's how they all pronounce it, whereas I would pronounce the S as an S and not a "sh")

Am I the only one who doesn't understand this video from Broadway.com? My only guess that it's meant to be a sort of "Groundhog Day" style parody of everyone answering interview questions in the same way? Not their best lol

Absolutely loved this last night - put a huge smile on my face! What amazing dancing. *spoilers* Can someone explain what happens at the end in the plot please? She falls in love with him - and right at the end he realised he's in love with her? Or what...?

Just read the Time Out review which is hilarious: "One can’t help but wonder if an American creative team might have found more sympathy, subtlety and pathos in the material." Not sure I even have watched the same show as them my opninion of it was so far from theirs...

He's torn his ACL it seems! Can you link to where you heard this? Don't know how to link it I'm afraid - but his most recent instagram post

He's torn his ACL it seems! Which I believe is extremely serious, will he be able to do enough performances to be nominated? Really hope so, he deserves it so much

Wonder whether he's actually recovered, or is just on serious painkillers to get through the opening. Hope it's not the latter, and that if it is doing the show doesn't make it worse!

So happy for Rebecca that she won this, thoroughly well deserved. Hope this means she gets given more great parts in future!

What a shame that you didn't enjoy it! I was really hoping this would be good, has anyone else seen it?

So can the leads sing? Strange that there has been no discussion of this given all the debate re Emma Watson

Really enjoyed this last week - all the leads were on, the kids were amazing. Whoever played Zac is better than any professional guitarist I've ever heard...disappointed by Florence Andrews as Miss Mullins...had heard and really enjoyed Where Did the Rock Go on the CD and hoped that in future they'd cast people even better than Sierra - sadly she cut off half the notes in the song which was disappointing! Will definitely be back soon though - came out with a big smile on my face!

You're going to have to indulge me while I write a big sloppy Valentine to this show. What you need to know: When I was growing up in some godforsaken place, we had about 10 musical albums which I listened to over and over again. 'She Loves Me' was one of those albums. I hadn't seen the show - I don't think anyone in my family had - I have no idea why we had the album. But growing up as an intense, bookish, awkward girl I loved this musical. Songs like 'Will He Like Me' and 'Ice Cream' spoke to my insecure, hopeful soul. I read books, I wrote letters, maybe someone would love me one day. So, this production: Is superb. I worried that they would treat it as a quaint period piece and be arch and condescending, but it is a full-hearted, sensitive, funny show. You actually care if the main characters get together, you feel their awkwardness and insecurity. I brought my daughter and she felt the same way - she related entirely, emotionally she felt it was very modern. It is beautifully staged, brilliantly cast and for two hours and forty minutes took us absolutely away from all our worries. Recommendation: If you can get tickets, do. A rare Foxa 5* Side note: There was some adventurous hat-wearing in the audience. Couldn't put my finger on it at the time but this sums it up for me too. Loved it

Sorry to be a bit behind (catching up on a 2 month absence) but am I the only one who has never heard of Katherine Jenkins? Who on earth is she?!

Interesting, thanks! The addition of Gleb makes it much more Dr Zhivago-esque to my mind, which I'm not sure about given the success of the last Dr Zhivago on Broadway!

Where did you find the synopsis for the show? Would love to have a read - I too was very puzzled by having no recollection of a Gleb

Interesting that Nadiya is the bookies' favourite to replace Mary...much as I love her, I'm not sure she is quite the baking authority that Mary Berry is!

1) Phantom of the Opera 2) Sunset Boulevard 3) Love Never Dies 4) Cats
Hard to choose between 1 & 2 for me!

I have a question that I've always wondered about the film and now the show too. What is the purpose of the old man whose life Phil is unable to save?

Can't believe that's over...one of my all time favourite musicals I think and a truly outstanding performance from Andy Karl. 3 visits later I still can't work out how they do some of the jumps into bed in the suicide songs! Adorable moment at the end when they threw snow over Andy Karl and he made a snow angel! Please come back soon!!!!!

The Broadway artwork looks awful!! Yes the west end yellow is a bit bright but I'm pretty sure I could do better than those 3 groundhogs on rectangles in Microsoft publisher when I was 5!

Also just realised that it's rather surprising in a way that they're so desperate to go to Broadway and avoid the west end given how much better Matilda did here than there?

Love this more every day. Also love the Old Vic day seat policy that meant we only had to queue till 8! I arrived at 7.45 and was 8th in the queue, there were no seats left for the evening performance but i got centre back stalls for the matinee if anyone is interested. Smiled the whole way through and for several hours afterwards! Please let the theatre god bring this and Andy Karl back soon!! Also, they were filming it this afternoon! Now just hoping for a cast recording... (and in an ideal world for them to release the filmed version but that will never happen) Ps. huge thanks to theatremonkey for dayseat info - i don't have twitter but feel free to add the above to your website if it could be useful!

Does seem to be a hot ticket now with so few shows left. I had hoped to persuade Old Vic to take my 2 front row dress circle (which I bought at old price) for one decent seat at the Monday matinee but currently sold out. Several very good seats appeared for sale at 7 Sept matinee. WHY SO EXPENSIVE

I can only add my voice to the rave reviews here. Can't remember the last show I saw where I couldn't wipe the smile off my face the whole way through. It's truly magical. I think I will even have to do a first for me and get up very early to attempt to get day seats...

Not my favourite musical but I will unquestioningly book for anything with Scarlett Strallen!
