You could argue that there was no place for Vincent and Flavia in Snow White. Maybe not exactly reality show, as they were pro's on Strictly, but their two appearances were somewhat contrived (although beautiful to watch).

What if you're the person who stays sitting in order not to upset the ones behind you, then can't see because everyone in front is up - you then stand, and sure enough get it in the ear from the one behind? Asking for a friend .....

Not sure whether this should be in this thread, Bad Behaviour or Overheard .... actually, not the Overheard thread, as the conversation was with me.
During the interval of today's matinee, the lady next to me struck up a conversation. Was I enjoying the show? Usual stuff. Then ... "Bobby is usually a man, right?" "Yes." "So is she a transvestite now? ... (pointing to the programme cover) ..." only in the picture she looks a bit masculine ..."
Lost for words doesn't even begin to cover it!

Sophie (Evans) was meant to be on the Stages cruise next week, but has pulled out due to illness - and her replacement is none other than Kerry Ellis!

Do we know if Denise Van Outen will still be in this? She has removed all mention of Chicago from her Twitter bio.

The thing is, it wouldn't be the Great British Public who would vote him out, it would be the judges. The GBP could only put him in the bottom two. I wonder if they will be given instructions from on high, should this scenario occur ...

Yes, it’s foolish to try to limit the range of people who find Rob Fowler attractive I don't. Neither do I.

I love Hugh Maynard. Actually tempted to go now.
A thought occurs (apologies if it's been mentioned before). Have any of you been to the Stage Door of the Theatre Royal, Haymarket? I have - it's in the very select, des res Sussex Street, behind the Haymarket. I'm just wondering how the locals will take to the hoards of squealing Hopefuls who will descend on the area each night! The time I went, Bradley Cooper was starring in Elephant Man, and a special area was cordoned off for fans. Security guards were present, and woe betide anyone who stood outside the barriers and, however fleetingly, blocked the pavement (not that I'm suggesting for one moment that CHF is in the same league as Mr C!).

Julian Clary, Paul Zerdin and Nigel Havers were in Cinderella, Dick Whittington and now Snow White - so not exactly different casts!

I saw Carrie at the SD of Les Mis (I was waiting for someone else). There were precisely two people waiting for her, so it wasn't chaos every day.

Andrew Polec was on for yesterday's matinee. I don't know if he sticks to the same schedule every week, though.

Saw the matinee this afternoon, pleasantly surprised as I thought I would hate it, but it was fab! Buzzing energy Incredible staging, rarely see something so innovative in the West end. Also meatloaf himself was there today in person, in a box! He waved at the interval and at the end. However the real star of the show for me was Christina's wig! It is so pretty, I'm still thinking about it. Slay! I was there this afternoon too!
Not sure it was the show for me, but the energy was incredible, and some amazing performances too.

At Bat Out of Hell this afternoon …
As you may have seen in another thread, Meatloaf was in attendance this afternoon. As he quietly took his seat in one of the boxes, out came the phones, snapping away at him. Didn't seem right somehow. However, at the end, Andrew (Strat) announced that Meatloaf was there, the lights were put on him, he waved to the audience and photos seemed to be the order of the day.
One woman was taking photos of the show all through the first half. Didn't notice after the interval, maybe she was told to stop.
How are we placed on bodily fluids? Follicly challenged gentleman in front of me, mopped his brow (and the rest) with a sweatband on his wrist. Unfortunately not all was mopped up, and a couple of beads of his sweat flew onto my face!!!

A certain Mr Loaf at BOOH this afternoon. I thought he said he won’t do that? Well, he did - I was there and can confirm he was well and truly in attendance, in a box on the right hand side as you face the stage (and no, I don't literally mean in a box, I know what some of you lot are like!).

Going back to the single seat dilemma for the date I wanted, I tried out the old trick of different browsers - reserving A0 on Internet Explorer, then going onto Chrome and booking A1 next to it. No problem, sorted!

Reading on another thread about audio described performances reminded me of when I was leaving the theatre the other week and an usher was holding a guide dog on a lead, waiting for its owner to be brought from the auditorium.
"Oh, what a lovely dog," exclaimed a sweet old lady. "Is it lost?"

I can’t believe some of the trolling the Titanic cast are getting on Twitter. Football fans are vile. It's just awful. And a much more widespread opinion than I would've thought, so many people saying that the football was more important than the 'play' (um, it's a musical you morons). It just makes me angry. But also kinda grateful that theatre doesn't often attract too many of those sorts of people and that's totally fine by me, they can stay the hell away from it and leave it for the rest of us to enjoy Aside from the abject ignorance and disgraceful nature of the trolling, some of the comments are spectacular in their stupidity. My favourite was the suggestion of having a break in the show while the penalties were being taken … um, hang on, guys, postpone the Titanic sinking for a few minutes for a penalty shoot out! At what point should someone in the wings signal a halt in proceedings and tell everyone to switch on their phones, I wonder? Then, when it's over, carry on sinking! Honestly!

A hat trick at The King and I this afternoon. We had the serial cougher, the phone going off (and subsequent, "ooh, I had no idea it was on" to her friend), and then, to top it all, a vomiter. There was a bit of a kerfuffle (we all heard it happen!), but virtually everyone, after looking around briefly, went back to watching the show. It was all dealt with swiftly by the Palladium staff, who brought in loads of paper towels, and cordoned off the area around the two seats - I didn't see the vomiter and companion, they must have left very quickly (and who can blame them!).
I do feel sorry for tonight's patrons in Stalls D24 & 25, though, who may have found by now that the carpet is slightly damp underfoot ...
