They must be throwing money at Bianca for this. 8wks in the West End for someone who commands up to $10,000 a night for a performance can’t come cheap.

It's a bit desperate having posters on the Drury Lane saying "School of Rock, three minutes walk away". 😂😂 But I bet it’s incredibly effective with tourists. You’d be surprised at the amount of tickets sold off the back of sheer convinence, “It’s a 3 minute walk from this tube station we get off at? Let’s just book that show...”

Just for info, a friend and I sat in the Grand Circle slips (A1-2) a few weeks ago and the view for £20 was incredible (if you leaned). Bench seats with plenty of space and legroom wasn’t as crushingly bad as I had expected (I’m over 6ft, think budget airline). Yes, you have to lean forward to see pretty much any of the stage (you would only see the opposite corner if you sat back) but I’ll take that for the price. I think we only missed a few scenes on the right balcony and a few involving George Washington at his desk.
I’d highly recommend for £20 if you don’t mind the lean (and for the record, before anyone posts in the Bad Behaviour thread about me, I did check with the people sitting next to me if they minded leaning and they said they were planning on doing the exact same thing). If they go any higher than that at the next on sale, I’d maybe hold back.
To summarise, Grand Circle slips are a bargain for £20. Wouldn’t go for them if they’re any higher than that.

Am I right in thinking that Tito Jackson is a producer/financial backer of Thriller? If so, I suspect that the recent allegations won’t affect the show. How would Tito Jackson's financial involvement remedy a potential slump in ticket sales, if you don't mind me asking? I suspect they wouldn’t close it as a result of the allegations as his connection may be made out as the family admitting some form of guilt.

I can’t believe we’ve gone 14 pages with nobody mentioning perhaps the biggest West End flop in recent memory.
I Can’t Sing - The X Factor Musical
Lasted just 6wks before closure with a reported loss of £4m.

Is this the same one that is playing in las vegas? It certainly looks like it. Wouldn’t surprise me if this played in rep a night or two a week with something else at a small theatre (The Hippodrome? Lyric? Other Palace?)

At the Open Air theatre last year I noticed the same thing, warnings about anyone bringing a bag over a certain size not being allowed to take them in, and yet there were loads of people with huge backpacks there... And then you’ve got me who actually got the tape measure out at home to ensure my bag fit within their guidelines...

Seeing the show tomorrow for the 3rd time but 1st time with new cast. Any idea if anyone is off at the minute? I believe Waylon Jacobs is covering Lafayette/Jefferson all week.

I went to buy tickets for a few upcoming shows at the Theatre Royal in Glasgow on my lunch the other day and I noticed two older gentlemen standing near the stage door with bundles of programmes for different shows. On my way out the theatre, I noticed that there was a lady standing, chatting, laughing and happily signing the bundles they had. It was Jodie Prenger who was on her way in for a matinee. She seemed almost jovial with these two punters who had clearly been waiting on her turning up.
Not often you see someone wait at stage door before a show, is it?

‘A cup of ambition’ is one of the cleverest pieces of merch I’ve seen for a while. They’ll sell a tonne.

I think The Play That Goes Wrong will be on the West End for many many years to come. The Duchess is a small theatre and is likely to find another guaranteed long runner in the immediate future.

How appropriate a former understudy ‘& Peggy’ goes on to star in ‘& Juliet’. She was a cover for all the three sisters (and covered Anjelica much more often than other two) so the joke kinda fells flat. P. S. Don’t like jokes based on people being covers/understudies Well aware Miriam was cover for all 3 sisters (and I saw her perform as both Angelica and Peggy/Maria). The post was not at all based on her being an understudy, just more pointing out the coincidence that she was previously playing a character colloquially named ‘& Peggy’ and is going on to play a character called ‘& Juliet’.

Plot/song predictions:
Juliet is actually a bit relieved when Romeo kills himself (One Less Problem without You by Ariana Grande) Juliet goes on this trip to Paris with 3 friends (3 by Britney) Juliet kisses a girl and likes it (I Kissed a Girl by Katy Perry) Juliet falls out with one of her friends (Bad Blood by Taylor Swift) Juliet splits up with someone (We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together by Taylor Swift) Juliet gets back together with said person (My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson) Juliet realises she is still young with lots to learn (I’m Not A Girl, Not Yet a Woman by Britney) There is a happy ending (Can’t Stop the Feeling by Justin Timberlake)
I might pass on tickets....

This has all the makings of a hit. An unbelievable creative group and an amazing star.
Feel free to quote me when this closes after 19 performances...

contact ticketmaster directly and they should be able to rebook you at the same price you initially paid for. If they say they can't then bring up trading standards and it should be fine. I did try this but unfortunately the text/email from Ticketmaster arrived at 5:01pm and their social media/phone team both close at 5pm on a Saturday. Looks like the 8pm show tomorrow is now sold out, annoyingly!

Just found out my show tomorrow afternoon is cancelled but the evening show is going ahead? Not sure what a few hours difference is going to make to allow the show to go ahead at 8pm but not at 4pm?
Ticketmaster have said they will process a refund and we can buy again for the evening show. However, we bought our tickets in a Black Friday deal so got them for half price. Repurchasing them would mean buying them at full price? That doesn’t seem right at all!

Tonight’s show has been cancelled due to cast illness.
“Kenny Wax, Global Musicals and George Stiles, the producers of Six, are sorry to announce the cancellation of tonight’s performance due to cast illness. The remainder of the run is scheduled to go ahead as planned.”
I’m seeing the show this weekend, really hoping it goes ahead as I’ve been looking forward to it for ages!

I absolutely loved this. So unexpected but a real joy. Great songs and performances by all.
I really hope this finds an audience as I can see it becoming a cult Christmas classic. I hope it’s not long before someone gets a stage version on the go.

It could be used to record TV programmes like Michael Mackintire which is currently recorded at Drury Lane and with it closing for referb in Jan would need a home. Britain's Got Talent have used it the last few years for the London auditions too. Perhaps a Vegas style residency could be next in line for the Dominion? I have often wondered why London theatres haven’t investigated the possibility of this. I’m sure there are a number of stars who could sell out 50 shows in a 2,000 capacity theatre over the space of a year.

Not quite the theatre but Graham Norton was at Claire Richards’ (from Steps!) solo gig the other night.

I went to see Lea Michele and Darren Criss earlier this week. Really good show that I’d highly recommend. The woman sitting next to me was taking photos throughout with her phone which turns out wasn’t on silent, meaning I got to hear ‘click’ every time she took a photo (which was a lot).

ALW repeatedly said about a year ago he wanted Liam Payne to do it. Cheryl Tweedy for narrator... I’d pay good money to see these two on a stage together....

I don’t know why but my first thought would be that this would open in Vegas? Penn & Teller live and perform there, it’s seen as the home of magic. This might offer the Strip something a bit different.

The show needs to be "sold" more?? Looks full all the time. They need to announce the extension first if they want to “sell” it to more people who haven’t yet heard much about it. To clarify, I meant “sell” as in “showcase” the show a little bit more as Alexander Hamilton is the song that they did at the Oliviers and appears on all of the Spotify/Apple Music Musical playlists when it’s not actually the best representation of the show. I’m still obsessed with the show but when I mention Hamilton to people there’s still quite a lack of knowledge around what it actually is. Apart from the Oliviers, it hasn’t really had a showcase for the British public.
