Wicked Little Letters is a decent film with great performances from all involved.

It frustrates me that cinemas figured this out ages ago. You need to drop capacity and make seats more spacious in all directions. You have to make the experience more pleasurable and comfortable to pull people away from home entertainment. I think some theatres can do that like the Dominion but I'm not sure if you can cut smaller venues capacity down without either reducing profitability or causing pricing to shoot up. Also, I'm not sure if you could use the type of seating cinemas use in theatres, the pitch is very different.

I'm not sure I want to get rid of any theatres because there is a good chance they wouldn't be replaced. London seems to gaining more theatres with the Olympia in Kensington opening next year and the old Saville Theatre being reverted back into theatrical use. It will be a miracle if that Olympia theatre stays open for more than a couple of years. The Troubador Theatre in White City supposedly had two auditoria of 1200 and 900 seats and it didn't even stay open for a year. Let's see how the Troubadour Wembley Park does. The Troubadour in White City was always going to be a a temporary venue, the Wembley one has been running for quite some time. The other difference is that the Olympia will be run by Trafalgar Entertainment who are very experienced in running theatres given the founders are the Panters.

I'd happily lose these two... The Peacock in London - it's a scratty dust bowl...The Churchill in Bromley - horrible seating and awful design. I'm not sure I want to get rid of any theatres because there is a good chance they wouldn't be replaced. London seems to gaining more theatres with the Olympia in Kensington opening next year and the old Saville Theatre being reverted back into theatrical use.

People seem surprised that people eat at all in entertainment establishments. In Shakespeare's day, they ate fruit which they would use to throw at performers if they didn't like it.

For all the moans about theatres, you can't demolish them as they're protected.

I know people frown on theatres having any sorts of sweets or snacks but I was impressed that when I saw Backstairs Billy a few months ago that the staff were selling chocolate and dispensing them into cups which I thought was a great idea.

I'm okay with sweets, crisps and a non alcoholic refreshment but no to hot food or anything that smells.
Chocolate is my snack of choice but I tend to eat it in the interval.

It's likely a cost thing to not have shows in rep.

I imagine any theatres built in the last 15-20 years would be accessible like Curve, the WMC, Lowry etc

I wonder if Dodie Smith's work aside from 101 Dalmatians and I Capture the Castle hasn't aged well which is why it's seldom revived.

Dune Part Two is great, my favourite performance was Austin Butler as Feyd-Rautha.

What are the other actors like and also is the set any good, it looked fairly basic from the Instagram stories and does it use all of the New Wimbledon stage or only part of it?

It would be nice to see a Disney musical that's not geared towards the kiddie winks for a change and - like "Hunchback" - "Hercules" has more of an grown up feel about it. Hercules is not adult oriented in the slightest!

To be honest, anything marketed as Willy's Chocolate Experience is a bit of an eyebrow raiser. I get that you can't trademark the word Willy (heh, Willy..) or Chocolate but to me the IP holders should really have shut this down.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nederlander are keeping it going until someone wants the Aldwych.

Casey Nicholaw is a solid choice for Hercules, it's more of a musical comedy tonally and he's very experienced in that regard.
In a way, the change of director is similar to what happened to The Devil Wears Prada where the directors ended up being replaced.

I get volunteering for community stuff but I think if I wanted to work for a theatre, I'd rather be paid.

Warner Bros and The Roald Dahl Story Company need to either sue or order a cease and desist.

Tina does have an unusually long booking period which makes me think it's probably on its last legs. Not sure what could go to the Aldwych though.

Love the NT ticket policy, wish more theatres were as helpful but do understand that when the NT stages a stinker it can lose a fortune having to credit back cancellations from people who have read reviews/word of mouth... With the NT credit, it's being used within the National so they've not lost out money wise. It'd be different if it was a commercial production.

PG makes no real difference these days, it's just a harder U.
Some of the BBFC changes do make sense, Jurassic Park for example going up to 12A is fine and indeed the later films are 12A and Ghostbusters as well which probably would have been a 12A back in the day if the rating existed.

I've never been to the Princess Theatre but what's it like? When I was in Melbourne years ago I went to the Regent Theatre to see Priscilla, it was similar to our theatres except it had leather seats. They also sold an ice cream in a cone which had chocolate covered on it.

In regards to the vomiting situation, it's unfortunate but not worth stopping the show unless they're vomiting on the stage or on the actors themselves.

It won't be with Corden if it is OMTG I thought he said he was going to do it again but either way, do we really need it back right now? It's not been in the West End for some time so I would say it can come back.
