I just cannot visualize Alfie doing the Act 1 ending of Stronger with the pirates.

If the Judas left at the last minute I wonder why they did not cast Tim Rogers who had been playing it in the UK tour and obviously could have just stepped into the role.

Perhaps the London Palladium will follow the practice of this year's RSC Xmas show and have a hologram as the Fairy Godmother. By the way, isn't Lee Mead traditionally played by a woman? I seem to think Lee Mead is usually played by himself, a man.

Who would you want and not just a name you know will not be available or want to do it such as your Kyle, Madonna, Cher or Britney? And in which role. I mean the women would have to keep their clothes on and for them that is a challenge. Keeping in mind that those performers would command 250,000 for one night not 5 weeks. So name who and in which character.

With those names they should manage to sell out the first 2 rows of the stalls! Where is the unlike button?

Hopefully if it is Lee Mead he gets to be on stage more and gets to sing. Otherwise a waste of a voice.

They NEED big names for this... Like a real A or B celeb not the typical household name like Paul O'Grady or Biggins who have done panto for years. Nothing special. They need a one off UK celeb/royal family member or pop royalty like Kylie, Madonna, Cher, Britney etc (although difficult I bet and some would never do it).. Bet we will end up with John Barrowman haha.. Yes I agre! The prices are like proper West End production prices so they need HUGE names to sell it out or people would go to their local panto or Wimbledon where prices are cheaper Premium are the high ones. You can get them right down to 26 in the balcony. Orchestra 69, 62 or 55 if you go though the Palladium so no ticket fee. John Barrowman is far too busy being on American tv. And absolutely nothing wrong with the lineup listed if its right.

Saw it the other day and sorry but it was good but did not blow me away. I was procrastinating about exchanging my ticket but decided to go for it. Her "People" was all right, but I did not get the emotion. The audience, however, was ready to give her a SO the minute she came on. Ending with the powerhouse number at both the interval and the end also gave the audience in my opinion the chance to jump up. I mean it was right from the last note. All around me I could not do it. You have to earn it from me. And in my opinion it was not warranted.

That's exactly the reason he should be in Finding Neverland. He'd be pushing his boundaries. Alfie is pushing boundaries just not to the desired result. Pushing boundaries is all well and good in the proper setting this is not it. In your wildest dreams picture him leading the pirates for the big Stronger number. No. As far as Ramin goes he has his lovers. I find him fine but not spectacular he has his way of always belting, and I do not like the Bluegrass at all, so do not miss him one way or the other. There are others I would prefer.

Thanks for the link. I saw it on Broadway and this proves how miscast Alfie is. This is not an opera.
Ramin cannot play every role though he is perfect for anything. I believe Hadley is doing more drama with only a few musical gigs. Look at what he has been doing, far away from MT. I am fairly sure he will be with Ramin in July at the Palladium even if he is not an announced guest.

I find it so bizzare to say Lee has weak vocals in this. He has a very powerful lovely voice. I have seen him many times and look forward to seeing Chitty. I know he has been having mic problems though. All the press articles have been great reviews.

So they did not slow it down. I was hoping with the new cast they would.

Casting for this has already been done so in my opinion it does not fit. Alfe Boe is not right. Ramin Karminloo responded to a tweet he tweeted the other day that someone after the show told him he would be good in Les Miz. Doesn't that sort of tell it. Way too much gravitas. Cannot for the life of me see him performing Stronger. And I have seen the show.

Snow White is only December 19-22. Not even the weekend. Should have no effect on London.

Totally sold out in the US past December. Of course its on resale from Stub Hub or the resale feature on Ticketmaster for $mostly a minimum of $800 but it goes to well over $1,200 a seat.

Since Lee has not been on stage for a few years you are overreacting a bit. And I have never seen "superfan" behavior when he was in a show. What exactly is it?

Alfie Boe??? I really do not see him. Bad casting. As the producer I could see it, but not as Barrie.

Absolutely no objection to a Ramin thread. You misunderstand. It was the word "must". He is only doing one UK date as far as I can see, and has relocated to California in the US.

Well Darius Campbell is rather dashing & brilliant in 'Funny Girl' & with that ending in October that would be perfect timing!! He's Scottish too & just imagine him with a beard aka Matthew Morrison lads ? Ugh no. I saw him in Eternity and wooden would not begin to tell it Somehow I cannot see him singing the first Act finale. It has to be powerful. It is the best number in the show.

The casting is so low rent. Clearly anyone will do! You are so transparent. You make childish comments. You do not like him, fine, but in the last 8 years when was the last time you actually saw him perform?

Why "must" there be a Ramin performer thread. You make one because you like him, but on the old board I do not remember his being active if there was one. Those prices for his Broadgrass is just wrong.
