Natalie McQueen will sadly not be performing in the final two shows. Suzie McAdams will perform in her place. 😢 That must be so heart breaking for her - glad I got to see her last show on Thursday! You could tell Oliver was a little bit off on Thurs (didn't do big note in soul of a man and generally looked a bit ill) but he still was v.v.good! But Natalie seemed ok

I did notice, and noticed what Daniel mentioned too. I think it's got to be a height thing because when Hannah was Peggy she didn't wear high heeled boots. Unfortunately I can't remember if Gaby did or not. You know, it's bugged me for the longest time and I couldnt work out why Clare was given these boots whilst the others were given flats! I guess it's a costume change thing because Clare doesn't appear in Were in the Money past the start whereas the other three ladies all do appear? I thought it was a height thing. I never saw Hannah-Faith Marram, but when I saw Gabrielle Lewis Dodson she wore flats boots.

I've been entering all week and they haven't done the band a ticket offer for lottery losers. Luckily I got my sister to day seat today (she was 5th in line at 7.30). What’s the band a ticket offer? Sometimes if you don't win the lottery they offer band a tickets for losers for £28 - but they haven't been doing it this week.

Are the chances of winning the lottery on a Friday night low or high?? Also, do they give unsold other seats to people who didn’t win the lottery? I've been entering all week and they haven't done the band a ticket offer for lottery losers. Luckily I got my sister to day seat today (she was 5th in line at 7.30).

Woo, that was stressful but managed to get row C stalls on Today Tix rush - can't wait! So sad to see Stuart go, but so happy Clare is staying.

Tonight Philip was Billy and Norman was Julian! - Clare (Halse) was Peggy, Jasna, Chris and Sheena were all on but Bruce Montague was off. Jae Alexander was also off, but the orchestra were brilliant as always.
It was a fab show. I really enjoyed Norman's Julian & Philip grew into the role as the show went on. This was my 5th visit & still keep wanting to go back - I'd lay just to see the finale.

Planning on going this evening (5th visit!) to take my sister for her 2nd visit. I want to make sure that it's Clare Halse tonight before I get the tickets. I can't find information anywhere, but with Clare Rickard earlier the week i'm a bit worried. According to twitter Clare H was on last night so I would presume she will be on tonight, but wondering if anyone has further info.
Thanks!

Just given in to temptation and booked for Amber's last show - I'll be peeking through safety rails up in Upper Circle F but I've seen the show before and at least I'll be there - the only other 'last show' I've been to was Rachel Tucker's last in Wicked and it was a pretty incredible atmosphere so hopefully it will be similar at Dreamgirls! I'm up there too! Hopefully the atmosphere will detract from my bad view!

Is it just me or has the ticketing system on the website changed? It automatically redirects to seetickets which says 'sorry there are no shows for 42nd street right now#. Is anyone else seeing this? I need my £15 AA fix!

I saw this the other day at Picturehouse central - where you have to pay £16.50 for the privilege (I can get a discount through work, but still £10.50!)
But don't mind paying to support independent films like that - it was thoroughly enjoyable and ever so slightly relatable....

I have just been at Phantom this evening, with possibly the worst audience I ever experienced.
I think it probably has to do with tourist season, although most of the (loud) talking and pointing was done by a pair of British girls (who also kept checking their phones).
The girl next to me started rustling in her bag during act two and pulled out some eye drops, which she then proceeded to put in.
A Chinese man in row in front fell asleep!?
Totally ruined the atmosphere and show definitely felt flat. I mostly felt sorry for the people who had paid a lot of money to be there, to have the show ruined by half the stalls talking to each other.

A total Z list but a couple of weeks ago I at Dreamgirls I saw Jason Gardiner (of dancing on ice 'fame') - it took me over a week to place him, I just knew I recognised him. Then I found this on his twitter:

Not strictly Wicked related, but I've just been at Willemijn's concert and was sat next to Sue Kelvin...she was rather entertaining to say the least! (I moved after the interval to a spare seat further in the row as I was stuck behind a super tall guy and I have the stature of a munchkin) Would you mind posting your thoughts at some point? Would love to hear how the concert was! I think there's a Willemijn thread in the Performers and Creatives section. I will do! As a Willemijn fan I went there really to enjoy and not be critical - and hear defying gravity one more time! (Which is definitely best sung when in costume and in context, but enjoyable nonetheless)

Rohan Richards has been doing Curtis for most of the week as well...Both times I've seen Dreamgirls I had him as Curtis. Definitely got the car salesman smile going, and when I saw the show on Monday he had improved a lot since I saw him in December. The cast schedule seems very strange - it's like a [un]lucky dip

I just got back from Dreamgirls this evening. I have only seen it once before - in previews with Amber. I knew as a Monday it would be someone else (I won TodayTix lottery) and it was Marisha. I was a little apprehensive about how the two shows would compare, but I was blown away by Marisha tonight. There was no screeching or shouting (a little bit in I'm Telling You, but nothing OTT) and I was really impressed by her voice in general and her acting.

Meanwhile at the Savoy (Marisha Wallace - incredible, loved her portrayal of Effie) They should add the use of glowsticks to the list....

I would have tried, but I actually just won the TodayTix lottery for Dreamgirls, so I'll do that instead. Not gonna turn down £15 tickets. Oh, happy days! Will you let us know who's Effie tonight, and your thoughts on the show? There were a tonne of covers on last week so who knows who you'll get tonight - cast board in the foyer by the box office! Will do. I saw it previews last year with Amber Riley, so i'm interested to see another Effie. I'll hopefully get to Alice's Elphaba one evening when it's cheap - i'm lucky I work so close!

I work in Victoria and thought about going this evening after work. Not at those prices... Go in and ask nicely about standby tickets, you never know! I would have tried, but I actually just won the TodayTix lottery for Dreamgirls, so I'll do that instead. Not gonna turn down £15 tickets.

Plenty of seats available for tonight, which is a shame. I thought weekday prices go down, obviously not. I work in Victoria and thought about going this evening after work. Not at those prices...
