Booked this for December, it’s my favourite of Andrew’s Scores so I’m interested in see what they’ve done with it.
Anyone know the running time?

I saw this last night and I just adored it. Evita is one of my all time favourites, and to see a refreshing take on it was brilliant. A few odd direction choices, such as the underwear and the paint. But the choreography was incredible.
This has to transfer, or tour, because i have got to see it again!

I’m wanting to see this in London on Saturday but it seems sold out. Are the grass verges like day seats. Just turn up? Or do you have to book in advance

Are we classing Love Never Dies as a flop? Each and every time I saw it it was beautiful. And yet different from the last previous time.
A behind the scenes doc on that show would have been brilliant watching.

There’s certainly a difference between Stage Door Johnnying and building up a genuine friendship with someone. It becomes a bit obsessive and very one sided.
I met a Former Christine from Phantom at the cinema screening for Phantom 25 and then proceeded to run into every couple of weeks at the Sainsbury’s in Chiswick when I lived there. I were not BFF’s by any means, but we used to say Hi, how you doing? Ect.

Am I right in thinking that if they continue to claim that “New” Les Mis, is still the original Les Mis, then they’re intact breaking the law? False advertising and all that.
In all fairness, I’ve not seen Les Miserables for a couple of years, but the last time I saw it at Queens, it was very very dull, and looked very tired. 30-odd Years is a great run, maybe we need to rest it for a while.
The same could be said for Phantom, since I made that last point.
I feel like we should be championing new, fresh, exciting theatre. Theatre land is changing in London and we should be embracing that, and looking to the future.
I also get the points made that it’s a cash cow that brings people in, and will sell tickets. It’s a tourist attraction - and hugely profitable. I get that. I understand that’s what investors want.

I feel like this production needs to be filmed for preservation because it really is outstanding. I saw it last weekend and could not believe what I was seeing. It was awesome.

Anyone sat in the Upper Circle before? Just bought a ticket for £23 and it says restricted view. Any had any experiences of this?

Is it me or has Mrs May been watching too much of Evita recently? This EU Tour is nothing more than a stalling tactic to stop Corbyn overthrowing her.
I think everyone remembers how Evita ended...
Not very well

As much as I adore Evita and the score. I wish that someone would do a revival of the original version with the original staging and sets.

I am really enjoying this.
Hugely camp, but completely brilliant.

Oooh, and going all français, Daniel Lévi had a HUGE French hit (#2) with 'L'envie d'aimer' from the musical 'Les Dix Commandements' in 2000. Here he is singing it with Celine Dion who went on to record an English version of it on her 'A New Day Has Come' album, called 'The Greatest Reward': It was also released in Greek in 2007 and was a hit for Helena Paparizou and Nokia Agalis under the name Zillia Monaxia

I'm watching it for the first time in a very long time. It's a great adaptation of the show. It's getting dragged on Twitter; people calling it tasteless and inappropriate

One would hope the Broadway run would be preserved in some way with it being such an "Event". A live cast recording would be great!
Maybe Paramount will finally let Andrew make another movie out of it. He did an alright job with School of Rock, and that was one of their films.

Sally from Follies is quite tragic.
As is Emma from Tell me on a Sunday.

Massive fan of Follies myself.
Looking forward to a decent revival of it.
