...And it was an amazing show! The work the talented cast did to make the show work was nothing short of astounding!

Has it? I’m fairly sure it wasn’t. Show’s own website still only has it as 17-21 Aug. I go to London the week after, which is why I asked which cast people would prefer, since there’s only about £10 difference in ticket price. Half of the tour dates aren't on the Show's own website! lol

It would be great to see the musical out on the road again soon! We need a bit of cheering up after all we have been through and this would be the tonic! You might just be happy this year. Any ideas when?

I wouldn't mind 'Blood Brothers' going back on tour, even though the most recent one wasn't that long ago. But if it were to tour again, I'd love it to make a West End return, even if limited. As for 'Betty Blue Eyes', I'd like to check it out if it did tour again, or have a limited London return. 'Love Never Dies' is supposed to be touring next year and I want to see if they've made any more changes to the show. My only experience with this show is the 2012 Australian filmed recording. Blood Brothers is planned to go back on tour sometime in the new year (early spring). Just awaiting on dates

It would sort of make sense if Oliver! were to come to the Palladium. When Cameron Mackintosh revived the show back in the 90s, it was at the Palladium and seeing as Andrew Lloyd Webber brought Joseph back there, I can imagine Mackintosh potentially doing the same for Oliver! I suppose the other question is that if it is being revived, what production will it be? Will it be the 1994/2009 version, or the Laurence Conner directed production that toured back in 2011-13? Although in all fairness, I'm not sure how different these two productions are, as from what I've seen from videos on YouTube, they look fairly similar to each other. which ever version uses the smallest orchestra lol

This will return to London next Xmas and play a season at the Palladium. I think it’s very odd that the original design team are on board with this- why not get a fresh team? if its not broke....

I think its wonderful news that Phantom embarks on a new tour in 2020. However, what makes this musical so special to me, equally important to the wonderful cast and sets, is of course, the orchestrations. Far too often this show has gone out on various tours throughout the World ( incl. Previous UK tours ) where the orchestra is cut from 20+ musicians, helping to create the lushious sounds, to 14/16.... I appreciate that taking so many musicians on tour is just not financially viable, but to bastardise the scoring so much ( replacing some instruments with samples on keyboards ) is simply awful, for this show. It doesnt work. I sincerely hope that Cameron Mackintosh stick to their word of using the 'original' production, by not reducing the size of the orchestra to a small circus style pit 'band'!! Please!!!

Yes it was terrible thanks to Will Young(ridiculous) and Louise Redknapp (can’t act, no charisma) and the rip off Chicago design. It was equally bad with Samantha Barks who was, at that stage in her career, not good enough to carry it. Do not get me started on Wayne Sleep as the MC. But even without the so-called personalities I just don’t think it works on stage. I’m not going to be taken in again, and I don’t care who’s in it. I have to disagree with all your sentiments and personal views on Will Young, Louise Redknapp and Sam Barks. It's probably best you do stay home and keep your worthless points of view to yourself, as they mean nothing... ...but then again, that's just my view.

What I find sometimes astounding about people using this site, is how awful and unsupportive they can be towards productions they either haven't seen, or in particular before a production hasn't even started!!!
Company's such as Selladoor maybe not be as big as Cameron Mack or RUG etc, but they are putting on show after show, on tours throughout the UK and the World, and in the West End, and keeping many actors, musicians and crew in work. They should be applauded for that. Maybe one day when they reach the financial heights of the bigger named company's, they too will be able to invest more and more in their productions. Perhaps some of you are too young to remember that many years ago, even Cameron put out productions which were small scale and failed!!....
STOP moaning all the time before you've even seen a show! Just because YOU may not like a particular production, there are many others who DO.
What did my mum say?... Unless you have something constructive to say.......

Any ideas of what shows are going out in the next 5 Years I hope we see another legally blonde tour as I missed the previous one 😊 5 years? That's ambitious. Britain will have gone into full self destruction by then. The recent 2017/18 tour of 'Legally Blonde' apparently goes back out in 2020

What a ridiculous comment to make - ‘I KNEW it wasn’t going to be anywhere near as good’ etc... I too was there. This is one of the finest company of singers and performers on the touring circuit today!! What were you watching?? Maybe you were the only person sat down at the end when everyone else was standing applauding and generally have a great time. Stay at home next time...
