Whilst reading The Mousetrap thread the thought did strike me,
we are probably not going to have any open theatres until late summer at the earliest so can the likes of The Mousetrap/Phantom/Wicked/Woman in Black still claim to be a long runner if there is a 5 month shutdown coming up?
Does anyone know what the longest gap in performances is for a long runner where said production has then claimed its the same show? Does reworking the show ala the recent Les Mis changes mean its still the same show I saw 20 years ago or should we class it as a new production?
I know its totally irrelevant in the current situation but its the kind of daft theatre related thought I'm going to be having over the next few months.
