I actually really like Amanda Holden to be honest. However, it does seem a strange replacement to Whoopi Goldberg but you don't know the full story - maybe Paul o Grady was never going to be in it before Whoopi? I did find it strange that Amanda was announced a few more the later than the main cast. Whoopi would've been amazing!
Amanda played her part well in the show and I enjoyed her fairy. I like her on BGT too so was good to see her on stage!
I agree that Count Arthur Strong was terrible and not funny whatsoever. Really awkward when he was onstage - no laughs around me at all. Thankfully he didn't have much stage time and I doubt he'd be doing another pantomime again!

Oh. My. Goodness! Now wouldn't THAT have been The Perfect Panto? ( @burlybear that was rhetorical, no answer necessary! ) Edit: tried to tag using instructions on FAQs - I is flummoxed. Just had a weekend in that London with a bunch of pals and after we had all seen Dreamgirls together on Friday we all did different things on Saturday. I convinced a couple of people to get the very last two seats at the palladium for the matinee on Saturday because having read all of the comments about the production here I thought it would be right up their street (i.e. filthy double entendres and lots of campery). They absolutely loved it, and were stunned at the production values. After hearing ALL about it (a lot) on the train back today I'm almost ready to get me some Dick!
