I Left my 'audience behaviour radar' at the door tonight and went with the flow. And THOROUGHLY enjoyed the evening. Demographically-speaking, I'm pretty much the show's exact target audience and the music took me back on a wave of happy nostalgia to places I've long-since forgotten that I couldn't wait to escape from and the script pushed a lot of similar buttons. The audience, mostly but by no means entirely female, sang along to pretty much every song - though at this venue at least (and on a Tuesday evening) rarely to the detriment of the performers on stage. My hackles rose a tad when the women immediately behind me, only distantly acquainted with the concept of 'tune', first piped up but they were enjoying themselves hugely and it would have been my loss if I let them stop me doing the same. If you can't take the 'participation', this show is definitely not for you - but if you can, and you're a woman of a certain age, my guess is that you'll enjoy it as much as I did

I went to see this show this afternoon and I was actually surprised with how many of the songs I actually knew. Thought it was put together in such a good way, getting the songs in the story. In all honesty didn't know much about Jackie Magazine. Overall thought it was decent but my Mam absolutely loved it she was certainly in the age range it was made for!
