I'm obviously in a minority here, but disappointed Strictly Ballroom isn't on the cards. Usually I'm not keen on film adaptations (especially when it is a favourite film) but heard good things about this. Perhaps another time...... Me too - I saw Evita ages ago when Louise Dearman played Eva and I've no real desire to see it again, and I hate horror so The Exorcist doesn't appeal in the slightest. Wish we had a new musical coming in instead!

I'm so there for The Exorcist. I saw Evita in Milton Keynes so it's unlikely I'll want to see it again by then. Saw Exorcist in Brum, really liked it and with a bit if tinkering it could work in the WE.

Latest update is that the Phoenix is going to be dark for a couple of weeks, then have two "short running" shows, followed by a " long running" show. Surely it's for the audience to decide what's long running. I'm sure both BILB and The Girls were intended to be 'long running'.

Presumably that just means "long running" in terms of being planned as an open-ended run rather than a limited one...

I'd love to see a Blood Brothers revival at the Phoenix, even if it's only a limited run then it would be great to get to relive my 2011-12 addiction again Is Evita confirmed? That's a bit disappointing as I didn't think much of the Dominion run. Then again that theatre was way too large for the show, and notorious mumbler Marti Pellow played Che, meaning I had no clue what was going on for most of it. I'd be willing to give it another chance. If Emma Hatton wants to go and do other things, Ashleigh Gray is welcome to take over as Eva

Les Miserables or Phantom of the Opera long; 1,000 performances; a couple of years; recoup of investment?

Its a tricky one, because recoup generly speaking means its a success, but some shows recoup in 12 weeks if it is a play with stars and high prices, but it csnt really be considered a long runner haha.

When does Baz usually announce things? Is that what we're waiting on?

For me long running on the West End is 2+ years, Broadway 5+.

So by this 2+ year thing, Kinky Boots becomes the next long-runner when it hits its 2 years in September?

Could Ink's glowing reviews lead to a fast-tracked West End transfer? It ends on 5th August, the same date Beautiful vacates the Aldwych. It could do a nice little run before Tina Turner if the theatre size works and if the cast is available.
