What is the part of Lois? Is it a big role?
Is she the girlfriend? If so it's quite a big role.

Lois is the girlfriend. I thought Joanna Francis played her very well and had a good strong singing voice.

"Few people stood up at the end"
Only a few? Good. That means most people weren't so selfish as force the people behind to stand if they want to see the cast taking their bows.

So may have shed a little tear at the end of this last night.
Really enjoyed it - even if the story was sadly all too familiar.

Absolutely loved it last night. Can only echo what's been said before about Katherine Kingsley, her voice is amazing. I had goosebumps in every song she did. I thought the Pet Shop Boys sequence was brilliant. The audience were on their feet within seconds of the finale and loads of whooping and cheering which surprised me given the age of a lot of them.

After the positive reviews the show has had on here I decided on a last minute ticket purchase for tonight’s last show at the Lowry and after watching the show I’m really happy I got that ticket. I have to say that Katherine Kingsley’s performance was absolutely fantastic and vocally nailed each and every one of those classic songs along with that great band to accompany her to provide that fantastic sound,
It is really hard to pick out a standout moment but ‘goin’ back’ for me had the greatest impact as it really had a real emotional impact in the way it was used. I admit I shed a tear or two during that song and so did quite a lot of others by the songs end.
Another fantastic vocal performance came from Jonna Francis as Lois. Her two solo numbers really where great and would of loved to have heard more from her.
Rufus hound wasn’t as bad as I thought. He didn’t do much singing but got plenty of laughs during the night, particularly as Ray at the start of Act 2 with plenty of non pc jokes. Also the actresses who played dusty’s friends where a great double Act to give some light relief to the darker elements of the show.
I thought the issues of Dusty’s addiction and sexuality were well handled and I though KK came into her own during those scenes, particularly in Act 2.
The use of the projections to set the individual scenes was well used. Though in the final analysis, this show is owned by KK and her portrayal of Dusty is totally mesmerising. If you haven’t booked to see it on tour, definitely get a ticket. Her performance alone is worth the ticket price.
