Myles Frost is playing the role in London for the first few months. Did Myles do 8 shows a week on Broadway? Matinees? Also, does anyone know what day booking opens for Delfont Priority members? Doesn't seem to have been mentioned on the May newsletter for a DMT+ exclusive priority, just a link to the public priority access signup. That priority is from 22nd May

I don’t think Myles had set shows off, nor was there an MJ alternate (only a couple of standbys). But he did call out a lot due to two bouts of Covid and a broken toe over 18 months. So I reckon the producers will be careful with him and if he’s only playing a few months it might make sense to have whoever is intended to replace him as an alternate here getting ready with a show or two each week.
Nonetheless, am very excited he’s opening it over here.

That priority is from 22nd May DMT+ is often two hours before other pre-sales so as a guess I'd say 10am DMT+ and 12pm priority signups.

I joined DMT+ so I could get MJ tickets from 10am, but I haven’t had this email. I assumed I’d be able to log into my account and buy tickets through that, but looks like a separate link is needed. Ugh…

Might be worth trying that route too… and perhaps contact them via DM on Twitter - I’ve found they respond fairly quickly through that route in the past. Or give them a call of course - there’s still 45ish mins to go!

Ugh… Go into your account prior to 10.00am there is a dmt+ members area that normally lists the current productions and it will update at10.00am with mj added etc..thats what normally happens anyway.

Recommend this way to bypass the short queue! I was able to login and get booked this way shortly before 10am.

Please can someone note the prices - ideally a Saturday outside of previews - thank you! Mostly £97 top standard price on Saturdays for front stalls past previews. £77 for the last couple of seats at the end of each row and the fifth and sixth rows from the back. £50-£60 for the rear four rows. Last few rows in the front block of the stalls and front two rows in the dress circle are all premium. Row A in the stalls is not on sale. Most of the Dress Circle other than premium seats is £97. £77 for the third from back row, £60 behind that. Front half of the Grand Circle is £50-£60. Central block in the rear half of the Grand Circle is £35, side blocks £20. Press night appears to be 27 March.

Well, I wasn't sure I was going to book, but that was remarkably easy and the prices were reasonable, so booked a £30 side Stalls seat for the first preview.
There does still seem to be a queue going through the DMT Members Area, so maybe they've fixed that? But it was only a minute or two.
All seems to be on sale apart from the front row.
For pricing, taking Saturday 13 April 2023 19:30 as an example.
Stalls - £50 to £175 Dress Circle - £35 to £175 Grand Circle - £20 to £60
(the £30 seat I booked for the first preview is £77 for that night)

That was nice and easy thankfully! Got the email just before midday, short queue then straight in and got a £30 seat centre front row of the upper circle for the second week of previews 😀 Interesting that prices go up a lot post-official opening - the same seat becomes £50 or £60 (depending on whether it’s a ‘peak’ date or not), and the increase looks to be a similar £amount across all price bands. Now here’s hoping it’s just as easy to get Sunset tickets when that goes on sale… !

Got the notification email last night. Never received the booking link today though, but was able to access via the Members' Area an hour ago - loads of availability still -- but this turned into a bit of an ordeal, which might serve as a warning to others.
I managed to uncover and fall victim to a bug on the booking website. During the navigation process, clicking on some of the links opens up new tabs within your Chrome/Edge browser, so the site is clearly meant to work with multiple tabs, but it does not.
I had the seating plan for date A open in tab 1. Curious to see what prices were like at the tail end of the run and not wanting to risk being kicked out by Queue-It if I tried to navigate back from tab 1, I opened the seating plan for date B in tab 2. I then selected seats for date A in tab 1, but when you add them to your basket, it adds seats for date B!
I can replicate this issue at will, and have emailed DMT with full details, so hopefully their web developers can fix it, or at least put a warning on the screen to have only one seating plan open.
Unfortunately, I didn't spot the date switch nor the fact that my two £77 tickets were being charged as £174, which says a lot about my mental arithmetic ability! Happily, a very efficient chap on the Priority Booking line swapped everything back and refunded the difference without quibble, so that was a relief.

Intrigued by this, and how it can do something that ‘Thriller’ didn’t, so have bought a couple of the fab slip seats for one of the first matinees.

TodayTix will be running a weekly lottery for this show. A bit annoyed that these are becoming so common, I'd rather have the daily rush online or in person for better odds.

Zero buzz about this though eh. Yeah, I just can’t past all the issues with MJ’s personal life. Yes, the music’s good, but I’m not not interested in sitting through a biographical account of his life when all the questions remain about his involvement with minors… I know nothing was proven in his lifetime (he paid a lot of the accusers off), but still. Not for me.

Zero buzz about this though eh. And yet previews are almost sold out. Having seen it in New York- where it really surprised me with its artistry- I’m expecting this to be huge here too when word gets out. This ain’t Thriller Live.

Do MJ fans want “artistry”? Or do they just want Thriller Live?

Do MJ fans want “artistry”? Or do they just want Thriller Live? Well they can’t watch Thriller Live anymore so this will have to do. It’s also been one of the highest grossing musicals on Broadway since opening, so there’s clearly still a big market for his music. I’m not MJ fan- but the show was great in New York. None of us will know if he was actually guilty of anything , but I respect anyone not wanting to support this show. And anyone who wants to go and see it.
