Cuda Gooding Jr is on The Graham Norton Show tomorrow night, with Imelda Staunton. Perhaps there will be some exclusive news...or perhaps not! What, that Imelda Staunton is playing Velma...?

I imagine we’ll get some news from Baz tonight ahead of him being on Graham Norton tomorrow. Hopefully both Roxie and Velma

God the sofa on Graham Norton is quite bad tonight. Imelda is very good and can't believe this is her first time as for Cuba and Will I am just seem bored and like they don't want to be there. As well Cubas singing, god that wasn't something and I think people will be returning there tickets for Chicago. Poor Imelda.

Cuba doing some singing on Graham Norton right now.......... This has actually put me off seeing it until he leaves... although I found him incredibly irritating throughout.

I find a lot (not all) of the American stars on Graham Norton to be a complete pain in the rear. It's usually either sit there and say nothing or hog the whole thing. Neither is entertaining. Give me guests like Vicky McClure or Keeley Hawes any day. I'm a big fan of Norton though.

And yes I think Cuba Gooding Jnr's performance on the show will have put many off booking Chicago. I wonder what Imelda thought being on that couch!?

I don’t mind it when they hog the show, so long as they interract with the other guests and don’t just plug their film/show. The worst is when the entire couch is made up of the cast of one film, like last week with Mission Impossible. I couldn’t care less about how they did the stunts on set.

I wonder if the producers thought it was intelligent casting someone who has played someone who was guilty of murder but whose lawyer got him off, and now he’s playing the lawyer who gets the guilty murderer off...? No, I didn’t think so either.

Imelda's face is a picture 😂 She's smiling and clapping but she also looks like she's about to be sick! Hmm that final "LOOOVE" note sounds like something you'd hear coming from my shower...

Hate those weeks. I like the surprise of guests who don’t know each other well having good banter. I don’t expect it to just feel like one stop on a press tour.

Still no news on Velma and Roxie? I have one slot left for March that I'm saving for either Chicago (depending on cast) or Girl from North Country.

It’s likely I would think that we’ll get some MT stars at Roxie and Velma. I don’t see it being ‘big theatre names’ though (e.g Rachel Tucker, Louise Dearman etc). Probably someone slightly less we’ll profiled but who we still know.

Does this make Ruthie the first person to have played all three leads?

Does this make Ruthie the first person to have played all three leads? No Bebe Neuwirth has done it. She originated Velma in the 1996 revival, then played Roxie in the mid-2000s, and recently returned to play Mama on Broadway.

Josefina Gabrielle did several stints as Roxie in the early 00s - so another performer shifting roles.
