They don't always do them. It's very much at managers discretion.
If there's lots of tickets left they will probably be discounted. If there's only a few left they may not be so look at the online seat map before you go.

I thought Les Mis was there during that time? That's what I was told but it seems not! Hopefully Les Mis still comes.

Either way, can’t complain. Never seen a professional production of WWRY before, and there’s plenty of time to see it in Glasgow.

Either way, can’t complain. Never seen a professional production of WWRY before, and there’s plenty of time to see it in Glasgow. I saw it a few times in the West End and still feel like I’m waiting to see a “professional” production. Love the music and some great performances but a dire show.

Anyone with experience of Glasgow Theatre Royal?
I was thinking of going for the £20 seats at the sides of the stalls. Are these good value for money? Is the left side slightly better than the right or vice versa?

Is the left side slightly better than the right or vice versa? There's no difference between the left and right. As long you don't have a restricted view behind a pillar, all the seats are pretty good. There's literally some seats directly behind a pillar which blocks 90% of the stage! It should say when you click on the seat though, assuming you do it in the website.

Hopefully this will do Edinburgh or Newcastle. If it’s going to Edinburgh, it’ll probably be the Festival and not the Playhouse because I don’t think it could sell enough tickets to justify booking the cavernous 3,000 seater Playhouse compared to the more intimate 1,800 seat Festival Theatre. It’s going to the Playhouse.

I’ve found that Glasgow works out best for me out of the three cities I was looking at so that’s where I’ll be going. Newcastle is pretty expensive, and Edinburgh an awkward time for me.

Is there a list of all tour dates? Maybe I'm stupid but I can't find a decent website for this tour. I quite liked WWRY back in the day, but the constant negativity around it, kinda soured it for me. With Bat soon gone, I think I'll enjoy hearing this live again and I wonder if some of the Bat cast might go into this as it's similar in style?

There was a single Price Promise seat left for the Saturday night show in Edinburgh so I bought that. For £13 in the second row in the Stalls, you can't really go wrong. And it'll save me going all the way to Glasgow or Newcastle

I was watching on youtube on Christmas Day (I must have been bored) of Queen playing Live Aid at Wembley Stadium they came at 6pm, So didn’t have the headline billing and still daylight so didn’t have the massive lighting rig afforded to bands that played later, however this performance by Freddie Mercury and Queen went down as one of the best live performances ever, for no other reason that Freddie had a special pathos with the audience that no other showman had.
So with Freddie dying many years too early and would been alive today with advances in HIV medicine and relegating HIV/AIDS to a chronic condition, than a illness that kills you, through oppurtunistic illnesses. So a musical on Queen done very well, despite poor notices, the show ended up being so bad, ended up being quite entertaining.
No doubt the zeitgeist of Freddie Mercury lives on today.

Do we have any predictions with casting?
I know this will almost never happen, but Amy Ross as Scaramouche please.

Wouldn't surprise me if we saw some returning cast like we have done with previous tours.
i.e Lauren Samuels as Scaramouch
Brenda Edwards / Jenna Lee James as Killer Queen

It would be great to have Danielle Steers as ‘Killer Queen’ if she wanted to go back there properly

So apparently this has nothing to do with the original producers, this is a new tour with none of the same team. No casting notices seem to have been posted yet.

Looks like tour is being extended from the dates currently listed. Returning to the Theatre Royal Newcastle 15-20 June 2020. The first week in October is pretty much sold out.

Any news on this tour? Starts in 3 months. It has sold very well, first engagement at my local has sold out at at the end of the year and is returning next year which is also well sold.
