Shame Assassins has not been rescheduled, was quite excited to see it. Any insight into why this might be? yes I agree, I love the Chichester Sondheims

Anyone heard anymore casting news for this?
I wonder if Leon Cooke is involved as he posted about being back I'm Chichester the other day. Wasn't sure if just visiting or if he will be there again over the summer.

Isn't Charlie Stemp booked for this? Yeah, sorry I meant the rest of the cast. He is the only name released so far

She played Glinda on the international tour of Wicked After reading the blurb about her on the CFT website, I realise that I've actually seen her in FOUR things! She was wonderful in Xanadu at Southwark Playhouse, I just wouldn't have been able to tell you her name.

Have booked for the second preview in Chichester and we'll make a day of it. Very high hopes for this one.

Just home from watching the first preview and it was really good - once it’s found its rhythm (pun intended) it’ll be a great show. Charlie Stemp was phenomenal and the rest of the cast are all fantastic. However, having grown up going to shows at Chichester, I can’t help but feel that shows are now being produced with the aim for a run further afield as a lot of the set design and action was very much aimed at those ahead rather than including those on the sides. Maybe as previews continue that will be developed and I hope the set has a bit more to show as it seemed to lack something, but I can see the budget going mainly on ostrich feathers as most of the ones from a certain piece of costume ended up all over the stage instead!

Was also there last night and agree that the show is in great shape for a first preview. A couple of very small glitches but the whole cast carry it off with great style and pizzazz. Charlie Stemp is outstanding and got a deserved standing ovation. Highly recommended . ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

This is the first year I am not going to Chichester in a very long time. Which is a real shame as I love Charlie Stemp and sounds as if is is brilliant as always. Hopefully it will get a westend run that includes Charlie.

No there was this shadowy “young Norma from her heyday” inexplicably skulking around. Never spoke, never sang. We all wondered what the point was at the time.

I think they were going for more of an ethereal float, but due to making no actual reference to it, nor there being any other bits of non-narrative symbolism, it just looked odd. She did do it well though.
