Jack Absolute I imagine is being saved for later in 2022, as Jan suggested, it's probably due to cast availability.

Five and half minutes in the queue for public sale today. My better half quite keen on seeing Nicola Walker in The Corn Is Green so two front row £20 seats for later in the run.
Will see what the next few weeks bring and then see what reviews are like for the rest of the season.

Is this the last of the shows cancelled due to covid being done now, or is there something else they've yet to do still?

Kelvin Fletcher??? He must have been taking a lot of acting lessons as he has never demonstrated any acting ability in any of his screen appearances.

In his Times interview, Norris acknowledges the challenge posed by the streamers in attracting writing talent and star names:
"There has been such an upsurge in television and film work in Britain, he explains, that it’s harder than ever to attract writers and directors. 'Most actors who would sell a theatre are now attached to some kind of contract with Netflix or Amazon. I’m very happy for them but it’s very real.'"

Is this the last of the shows cancelled due to covid being done now, or is there something else they've yet to do still? Callum Scott Howells was meant to be in Romeo and Julie, wasn't he? Though maybe that got canned after he became a household name from It's A Sin.

Simon Godwin (rightly) continuing as the NT’s go-to director for Shakespeare I see. RSC in the mud.

I like this programme. I’ll watch anything directed by Ian Rickson and just missed out on the show in 2020. John Heffernan and Katharine Parkinson will be divine together under the helm of Simon Godwin. And of course Giles Terera will be a great draw to the Hamilton fans - good to see him back treading the boards of NT!

I just watched the Facebook video launching Jack Absolute Flies Again.
The director informed us that the action has been updated to middle of the Battle of Britain. In 1941.
Which all sounds great unless you know that the Battle of Britain took place between July and October 1940.
Now everyone can mis-speak. But the marketing team should have checked before releasing the video.
Just shows sloppiness on the part of the director or the press/marketing department or both.

Does anyone still… go to the National Theatre? Yes, not as frequently as before but I still do see 1 or 2 shows a season. Just booked a £20 front row for Much Ado (with some credit I had was only £5!) and will be looking at both Jack Absolute and The Corn Is Green on Friday Rush.

Fairly smooth booking process today. Got tickets to all three shows in the £20 category Yes, I had no problem at all, loads of availability which is not a surprise given their pricing, other than those £20 tickets the pricing is insane. £46 for the very back row of the Lyttleton stalls. Really ?
