I see a future where theatres embrace digital far more readily than they do now. The likes of Marquee, Opus Arte will (hopefully) raise the bar higher across the board. If OV is smart, it could become London's first hybrid arthouse theatre/virtual cinema and raise much needed funds from folk like my parents on Skye who would gladly pay a premium for high quality theatre into their living rooms.

Enjoyed this a lot on Friday and managed to get my first noise complaint from my neighbour during one of Michael Sheen's shouty bits (must turn my soundsystem down a bit next time)

Faith Healer has finally landed at The Abbey. It's an absolutely amazing play and the production (by Joe Dowling) is terrific. I'm not sure if it's the time of year or the set (a grimy, dimly lit, windswept wooden space that could be a barn, a parish hall, a church etc.) but it chilled me to the marrow. Aidan Gillen alas left me cold but Niamh Cusack and Nigel Lindsay were off the scale.
