I’m sure they’ll be great. Jordan Fox is fantastic (and hot!) so you’ll be in very safe hands with him - he’s got some pipes!

Oh great. Bought someone tickets for this tonight as a present. Although I usually hate it when people moan about understudies or covers being on, I really would have liked them to see at least some of the main cast. I don’t think it’s on to do practically a complete cover run like this. Most shows would run this one afternoon and wouldn’t dream of charging for it. I would imagine some of these absences are through illness - which you can't do anything about. You are so right! Natalie has said on Instagram that a "bug has hit the Kinky Boots fam really hard" so there must be something going around that has spread around the cast.

It wasn't actually a cover run, it was a joke because there was so many covers on tonight. There is a bug in the cast so that's why there down so many people and have had to bring back old cast members.

Three people were on holiday tonight. The other 9 who were missing were through illness! Suzie was supposed to be on holiday but they had to cancel it just so the show could still go ahead. Nobody planned for this to happen, it’s just what happens when a bug hits a company.
I went to see the show tonight, it was a brilliant performance. You could tell they were a little down on numbers but I don’t feel it was noticeable unless you knew the show well. Suzie, Emma, Ben and Jason all having to do split tracks in order to cover what needed covering. Olivia also had a quite a few extra bits here and there. Really does show the power and skill of the swings and the understudies in general.

Given how it’s being numbers wise, it’s not too surprising it’s closing on Broadway but six years is a great run.

I'm not too surprised it's closing to be honest, they've been ticking along nicely by constantly star casting the various lead roles but they can't do it forever.

Fun fact, at the time of closing, it will become the 25th longest-running show in Broadway history.

I went to the show today for the first time in ages, I wanted to see it before it ends. I forgot how much I love it! It's sad it's closing. I might even see it again before it does. Oliver is a great Charlie.

They have released 10 seats in Row F of the Stalls for closing night, if anyone is willing to pay £175. Other than that, the Stalls are now pretty much Sold Out. There is one £200 seat left, five additional £175 seats and then an additonal 25 seats in the rear of the Stalls.

Holy sh!t, 200 pounds? What is this, Hamilton? There was initially about 20 £200 seats, so they have clearly sold! I'm sure some fan who fails at dayseats will buy it, two people brought two premium seats for Rachel Tucker's last show in Wicked because they failed at dayseats and they were the last seats available! The fans will do it!

Oh of course, fans will pay and I'm not judging. If they can afford it, why not? I've paid £100+ for certain shows in the past.
But for me it's surprising seeing £175-200 tickets on sale. I've seen this three times and don't remember seeing those high prices. Is it just cause it's the last performance?

They have loads of seats at £175 but even then, most of the seats in the Stalls are £82.50

Yeah they have upped the prices quite significantly for the final performance, top price premiums are usually £135 on Saturdays. I’ve seen this show far too many times and although I’m not shocked they’ve put the price up I am surprised by how much they’ve increased.

That is the most unusual piece of casting I've seen in a while, is he even known over there ? He's done nothing here of any significance for about 3/4 years.

In the UK, he had a #1 album in 2012, his 20116 album didn't chart. He also had 5 Top Ten singles in the UK Chart, the first in 2012, the last in 2013. His first album went in at #34 on the US, his second album again did not chart. Two of his singles charted in the single chart in 2012, one at #111 and the other at #117.

Has anyone seen this? I don't know the language of this production, but it seems professional. First to note, all white cast including a white Lola, but also, the set and costume design are completely different, with a heavy reliance on things like scaffolding and a much larger floor space with the set alot further back.

That's probably Finnish.
ETA: yep, it says it's playing in Helsinki at the end.

Back to the show today to finally see the new cast (well, Natalie mainly!). I haven't seen the show for just under a year so am really excited! Kinda sad Jordan isn't on for Charlie, but he is on for Harry so anytime Jordan is on that stage it's a plus!

In this theatre the front row is AA, A or B? Pretty sure it is row A for Kinky Boots at the Adelphi.

I saw this again for the third time at the weekend. I had seen Simon-Anthony Rhoden and really loved his Lola so I was a little disappointed when Momar Diagne appeared. I shouldn't have worried, because he was excellent. His acting performance, comic timing and dancing were flawless. His singing voice is perhaps not quite as strong as Simon's but overall, it was really enjoyable to experience a different interpretation of the character and the audience just loved it. Oliver Tompsett is a great singer and actor and plays the part of Charlie very well. Natalie McQueen makes a very funny Lauren and her voice is super.
It's still one of my favourite shows in the West End, I'll be sorry to see it close.
