With Maggie Kirkpatrick - and her black leather gloves - reprising her role as Joan "The Freak" Ferguson, I hope.

With all the votes for Kiss of the Spiderwoman, i see Caroline O'connor is starring in a production in Melbourne, wonder if there's any chance of that coming to London?

Sweeney Todd has been done both in the West End and ENO so I think we won’t see a production for a while. You may be surprised........

Although I haven't seen it since the ENO one with the wonderful Emma Thompson so I am ready for another / the recent production in Liverpool sounded great so my parsley would be pushed if it came into town

I've only seen Sweeney in the theatre at the concert with Emma Thompson but I've watched many of the different recorded productions made so even though it's done often I wouldn't be mad if there was a fully staged Sweeney Todd in London soon.

Love SWEENEY - it’s a masterpiece, but I would have loved another Sondheim if true - PASSION or one of the others I haven’t seen. I saw the Adelphi Version, where I was introduced to the incandescent talent of Imelda Staunton, the ENO version, where I was just in heaven, and the pop-up pie shop version, which I also loved, but having seen the ENO version earlier that same week, was weaker in comparison. No doubt I will a Menier version though.

I would like for someone really imaginative to give an overhaul to Whistle and Frogs - I wish!

Passion, Pacific Overtures, Forum and Ragtime would all make me very happy (as long as their scores were given the proper treatment and not stripped back and thin, Passion and Ragtime especially).

I think its unlikely to be Ragtime as there is a production on at the Bridewell for 2 weeks in November.

Ragtime is one of my all time favourite scores, but it does seem to be put on alot for something that has little to no name recognition over here. If it is the christmas musical, i'll obviously be there - but if it's not i won't cry myself to sleep. Give us something we haven't seen for a while!

Won't be Anyone Can Whistle as its not very well known and certainly not one of his best. It will be something that is known or popular as its got to sell to make money for the theatre so they wont go for something obscure that is only known to musical theatre fans.

Are we sure it’ll be Sondheim? Into the Woods only played there three years ago so it won’t be that. The only other “commercial” SS musical would be Sweeney Todd I think. It would need to be pretty special to outdo the Tooting Pie Shop production for me, if so.
