Last year I paid around £750 for an outside view cabin which I shared with my mum and a close friend. It wasn't huge but we were only in there to shower and sleep. The beds were very comfortable I remember. It was a lot of money but I got a lot out of it, seeing people I hadn't seen in shows before such as John Owen Jones and Cassidy Jansen, both of whom were amazing. Plus the conversation with Don Black was fascinating, and not something I would have thought to book for if I'd seen it advertised in a theatre. We did pay for the drinks package too, but as it included alcohol we indulged quite a bit!

Tot that lot up and it’s £1500 for a three night trip. I should cocoa! That's ridiculous. Next month my mother and I are going on a 19 day cruise for £1500 each. Admittedly, based on previous cruises, the entertainment standard will to be pretty low, but in terms of board & lodging, quite apart from visiting far more locations, it's far better value for money.
