I think it's actually a bit depressing. This show has had numerous revivals including Chichester a few years ago. It's a dated musical and it just about sums up the ambition of British musical theatre today. Sigh. This production sort of makes the CFT one seem irrelevant That was small scale in comparison The cast here is 52 or 53 I think Quite larger than any other recent show in WE history I do want to add That we moan about feeble new shows like The Girls And then about classic large scale high budget revivals The producers can't win!!

Great! On that basis just booked some middle stalls row AA tickets for £15 each. Seem to be lots available.

Those £15 at the front look like a bargain! Fairly sure they weren't available at that price before? Looks to me that only half the row is on sale for the first two rows so possibly the others are day seats?

Monkey's site says front row yet to be confirmed so this might be a very recent addition, but I have not been paying close attention! Still, looking forward to comparing this to the Paris production I saw a couple of months ago.

I just booked the front row, what a deal!
When I sat there for Charlie there was no restriction, you could see the whole stage floor and set was visable so I imagine the main thing with that deal is the whole ensemble numbers won't be visable clearly.

Glad I stumbled onto this thread, Wasn't sure about the show but at that price a no-brainer!

I hadn't booked yet, having seen the show in Paris so recently, but at that price... no-brainer indeed! They seem only to be on sale up to around 21 April currently, will be interesting to see what price they are when released for the later dates.

I'm very tempted by those front row seats, but I'm just a little concerned about the height of the stage. Is it likely that we won't be able to see the dancers' feet?

I was thinking it might be something like that. I think I might wait till there's a bit more information about the view floating about. Thanks!

We had a works coach trip from Gwent to see this about thirty years ago. The lights went down, the band struck up, mass tap dancing commenced, and one of the group exclaimed: "Oh my god I can't sit through this sh*t" and walked straight out.

I think the only way this show will survive is from great reviews and good word of mouth. If it runs past Xmas, i dont know if Mary Poppins will transfer?

If 10 of us club together we can get a great group rate 😁
Want to see this but think front row is just a bit too close. Keeping fingers crossed for offers.

I LOVE theatreboard! I would not have known about these tickets if I had not checked the thread. Booked for the first preview on the Monday night on row A - second row. I assume it is close and you will lose some feet (not good for a tap show I suppose, hence the price) but surely a bargain! The seats in the row behind are £65 and a few rows further back (Row F) are £115!!!!!

I love you all for this tip. Booked those £15 seats. Been putting off buying tickets for a while so glad to have nabbed some of those.

Heading to London 20 April -7 May and heard about this deal today and got two seats for 22 APRIL. Trying to see as many shows as possible and happy my buddy PJ and I are booked. All this theatre planning is a hard job, but sometimes it pays off. West End here we come....

So would you go for the front row or the 2nd row tickets for £15?

There's no rake according to theatremonkey's site so I went for row AA.
Sheena will be close enough to read my jumper.

£15 is an amazing deal for the front row, but for a show like 42nd Street, you really need to sit back from the stage to really appreciate the dance numbers. The formations, the synchronisation, the feet!
I wonder if this production will use a huge mirror like has been done in recent revivals?

Thanks for the tip off. I was going to give it a miss due to high ticket prices as I can only usually visit on a weekend.
