That link doesn't bring up a site for me... What did/does it say about the production or venues?

That site brings up half a page of HTML text for me with "PAGE NOT FOUND" embedded in the middle of it.

If its an amateur production then it's certainly an expensive one! £44 top price. Bluddy cheek! As an amateur myself, they'll be lucky if people fork out on that!

I saw the original pre-West End production in Manchester and found it pretty forgettable except for the sets which were impressive and that one trick where he "disappears" on stage. I'd probably give it another try if it comes back to Manchester but not if its a cut back version. As for Blackpool, nothing could convince me to set foot in that town ever again. Ever. Yes, forgettable was the word I'd use to. And very disappointing. I think I got the wrong impression before I went to see it. I was expecting something more edgy musically and lyrically from the writers considering their background, but it was all very standard and quite bland. I thought Fleeshman was hopelessly young for the role and lacked gravitas. Also the idea of setting it in present day was silly. I love Blackpool!

My big regret was only seeing 'Ghost' once!! I may have one or two sherries on a stagey Sunday and may have acted out along playing all the parts to the cast recording home alone - Suspend My Disbelief/I Had a Life & Rain/Hold On ;-)

That microsite link still isn't coming up, but I just noticed on the licensing website for amateurs www.theatricalrights.com/node/55 the list of upcoming shows at the top says "UK National Tour - Dates Pending" with a link to Colin Ingram's site (producer of the last tour) and further down "February 3 - 14, 2016, Bill Kenwright LTD, London, W2 1RR, UK" but no production was obviously on during that time, unless it means that is when Kenwright acquired the rights? Would make sense as there are no more amateur productions on in the UK after May.

I saw an amateur production in York just over a week ago and thought it was very well done - the cast and the effects were great. Overall I found it a bit dreary though, but the music is nice and the ending is touching.

So, information is starting to come out. A quick inspection of ATG and what we already knew pieces together the following: Wimbledon: 1st - 10th September Bristol Hippodrome: 12th - 17th September Birmingham (New Alexandra): 19th - 24th September Sunderland Empire: 26th Sept - 1st October Blackpool Winter Gardens: 3rd - 8th October Cardiff New Theatre: 17th - 22nd October Manchester (Palace): 25th - 29th October Kenwright's website has no news yet. Curious we haven't seen an official announcement despite dates being already on sale. I think we can presume the production will open at Wimbledon. Also came across this logo: imgur.com/dpjX7dM

A 'reimagined' Kenwright tour now confirmed, with added music and expanded book. Opens at New Wimbledon 29th August! Interestingly, it's being launched in the US at The Fulton Theatre before starting the UK tour. It will visit Wimbledon, Bristol, Birmingham, Sunderland, Blackpool, Cardiff, Manchester, Oxford, Leeds, Edinburgh, Nottingham, Torquay, Woking, Liverpool and Aylesbury. Full dates and info: www.westendframe.com/2016/03/ghost-musical-to-launch-new-uk-tour.html

"Reimagined"- no set, no decent cast, no quality anywhere!
Brilliant.

Whenever I hear "reimagined" my first thought is "actor-muso". God I hope not.

"It can be performed on any scale, and its vibrant heart will still captivate an audience and allows the imagination to flourish"
So basically it sounds like they are turning it into a totally different show and taking away the set and the technology that helped make it so great...

I'm more intrigued by the "added music" haha I'm even more intrigued by the prospect of Sam being shot and lying on the ground still playing a guitar or violin if the show goes down the actor/musician route!

Costume will presumably be Sam hiding under a sheet from Primark with two eye holes cut out.

I think it's fair to say that, much to their bewilderment, no producer has really managed to make this show a success and Bill Kenwright might well be the man with the ability to work out what this show needs.
As for the illusions...Kenwrights hired Paul Kieve to create the illusions for 'Scrooge' some years before he was hired for 'Ghost' so I think it's kind of ridiculous to predict sheets with cut-out holes...

I agree. Give the show a chance! Sometimes Bill can surprise us! I thought the Whistle he did was better than on the West End!
