No disrespect to Denise, but this can only be a good thing, no?

Well Jessica Martin is definitely the better choice! Denise was awful in Legally Blonde!

Who were you expecting? It's not a west end show, they're fairly big names Oh no it's fine... But not if it comes into the west end. Yeah like the west end hasn't had its share of soap stars and X factor rejects

Yes and look at how well they all went! Yeah like the west end hasn't had its share of soap stars and X factor rejects Matt Cardle and Brenda Edwards went down ok didn't they. Ben Forster? The girl who played Maria in SoM? Loads more I can't be bothered to dig up. Stop making out the west end is some sort of sacrosanct entity that doesn't employ populist sh*te. It's no better than anywhere else. It's worse in some respects because in theory it *should* be so much better. Which makes it so much worse.

Don't get yer knickers in a twist.
My point is that the west end SHOULD be better than that. Seeing a show in the west end costs more than regional theatre and therefore standards should be the highest possible. And casting people like DVO and Kimberley Walsh etc is just not good enough.

(I think we are arguing the same point really) Ok. *kissy wisses* You ARE a terrible theatre snob though Mr B. Don't deny it!

I am a very proud snob. I expect the highest standards in all aspects of my life- particularly theatre!

Never seen the film but Jay doesn't actually sound that bad in the trailer. Looks like a big production with big sets so I'm pretty sure they're aiming to transfer this??

I could've seen this doing a stint at the Palladium too if Willows hadn't transferred

It looks great, a lot of fun. I really like the movie so I hope it will translate well. And Jay wears the tighty whities wonderfully so always a plus! Shame a medium size theatre isn't available probably until the Summer for this to go into...

That trailer does make it look pretty good. And I love the film so I am hoping this will either tour or transfer into the West End.
Isn't The Wind in the Willows just for a limited season though?
