Oooooh! When are tickets on sale? It's quite a way off, isn't it? April 2017 when it opens?

I am very excited by this. Having spent 4 long years writing a PhD about their original production (and a few other things) I'm taking this casting as my reward.
Assuming the tickets go on sale later in the summer? isn't that about usual for the next Spring's season? they haven't said yet I don't think. But I guess they may if they issue an actual press release on casting?

To expand on the original post: In addition to Andrew Garfield as Prior Walter, it has now been revealed that Denise Gough will be playing Harper and Russell Tovey will be playing Joe. Just in case a list of three names is all well and good but you wouldn't mind it being a little more informative.

Thanks for the update! I'm now dying to know who Louis and the Angel will be, and Roy. Oh damnit I just need to know who everyone is now.

It's Friday, I've got snacks, and the sun's shini... well, it's not raining at least! How can anyone fail to be in a good mood and consequently teetering dangerously over the line between "cheeky" and "rude" on a day like today?

I've never seen this in any form anywhere else, but I'm sold on the solid casting alone. To add yet another nugget of information it's going into the Lyttleton.

I've never seen the stage version before, thrilled with this cast and can't wait to get my hands on a ticket!

Are we waiting for a NT schedule? I might actually want to see this.

Nathan Lane in talks to play Roy Cohn... according to Baz (yes, it is that time on a Thursday night again)

Nathan Lane in talks to play Roy Cohn... according to Baz (yes, it is that time on a Thursday night again) This is probably equal to Baz's Hamilton news on my excitement scale. The possibility of being able to see Nathan Lane live on a London stage for the first time in my life brings out emotions in me that I do not yet know how to translate into words!!

I suppose that Richard Dreyfuss was unavailable.

I see what you did there, Honored Guest!
Andrew Garfield would make a great Prior, but I assumed he would be Louis, because presumably a Jewish actor would be ideal. Actually, Garfield would be great in any of the three leads so it doesn't really matter.

I'm still totally confused about when tickets go on sale and when one would have to stump up loads of cash to become a member and get them. Any tips?

On average I think they open booking about 4 months before the show? correct me if I'm wrong anyone. So probably looking at end of this year/early Jan for booking?
NT twitter are normally quite helpful when they know something so maybe asking them later in the summer (it's probably a bit early for them to know right now even)
Very excited about Nathan Lane. Bascially the NT are trying to kill me off with their casting in this one.

Depending on your credit rating you could apply for an American Express card (one of the free ones - for instance this: www.americanexpress.com/uk/content/ba-credit-card/) Amex has a priority booking with allocated seating before public booking opens - usually doesn't include the Dorfman but usually includes all shows in the other NT theatres. Tend not to be the cheapest seats - but often you can only get the cheap seats if you stump up for the highest membership levels. www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/amexAlternatively if you know someone who has an Amex card (an Angel with American Express ) they can book for you.

Ooh I have an Amex! So the window for that booking is between the first booking period and the public one usually?

Yes, and it's an allocation of seats which haven't been on sale to members There's a link on www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/amex to sign up to email alerts on Amex presales (it's not just for the National, they do it for various other things like the BFI London Film Festival) - so if you sign up now you should get notified for a pre-sale soon for the current priority booking shows.

If anyone would like a referral for the British Airways Amex (free, and you earn Avios points which are good for cheaper flights) do let me know! We'd both get some bonus Avios.

Additional casting been confirmed - 'The National Theatre confirms today that Susan Brown, Nathan Lane, James McArdle, and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett will join Andrew Garfield, Denise Gough and Russell Tovey in the cast of Tony Kushner’s Angels in America.'

Going to sound really uneducated here - is this two separate plays ie Harry Potter and the Cursed Child with a part 1 and part 2, or more like Falsettos where it is two plays which have been brought together as one.

More Harry Potter than Falsettos.

I think the last London revival was a cut-down version in one part, but I'm assuming the National is doing the whole thing

Has it been in London since it was at the Lyric Hammersmith in 2007? That was definitely in two parts, and judging by the length, I don't suppose it was cut down particularly either.
