To be honest, I would have thought that the idea of Miss Ball butching it up as Javert would be enough to get anyone booking, whoever else they cast. I mean honestly that and him squeezing himself into a Police uniform, is worth it for my money.

Plus you have the added frisson that at any moment one or more of those buttons that has been straining at the bit could go flying off into the auditorium and ricochet off the walls, taking out several members of the audience with it. Quelle excitation!

"Ball, Boe, Fletcher and Lucas lead a cast and orchestra of over 65". What's the Queen's cast and orchestra total? Might it be an expanded orchestra?

Mmmm….JOJ has certainly got the "alternate" shows - Monday and Thursday evening and Wednesday matinees! I am surprised he is doing it! It has to be the money.
Strange really in that as @emicardiff says in an earlier post Cam Mack was the first producer to fight against paying stars big money to star in musicals and making the show the star thereby reducing the cost of the cast payroll. He is currently doing this in the current production of Les Mis employing a young "cheaper" cast.

Anyone know the phone number to book? I was thinking of using theatre tokens anyway...
Actually, given that I'm actively looking to book to see JOJ on a weekday matinee instead of Alfie Boe, I could probably just wait until 'm in town and go to the box office...

0207 7416 222 is probably your best bet.

08444825151 - cept I've been cut off on the (checks) 4 times I've tried and it's 0.07p per minute for the pleasure.
Google is still trying to connect me, but Internet Explorer has opened the door just a weeny inch ... I'm position 1903 in the queue on there.

The 0844 telephone number is terrible, it's VERY rare that you can get through to someone on that number even on a quiet day with nothing special happening. The 0207 7416 222 number is a local number that goes through to the call centre, and it's the number they recommend using if you're calling from overseas, and I've had MUCH more success using it than the 0844 number.

Anyone managed to get a ticket yet? Surely it won't sell out yet, it's on for 4 months! I guess I'll take the dregs.

Isn't technology wonderful! One day someone will turn off the internet and we will all be f*****!
If I go I will book for JOJ anyway - so I don't anticipate it selling out that quick!!
Edited to add that I have just tried the Delfont Mack website which is working now but I was 4813 in the queue!!! I haven't booked!!

Just to update anyone left who might care -
I'm 1861 in the queue on Internet Explorer and Google has me at 4515 ... ! Good grief! I had seat maps printed out and my credit cards in front of me and I might have a little snooze while I wait ...
And I promised myself I really didn't care that much, but I've been caught in some hype-bubble! Next thing I'll be stockpiling food for Brexit like the lardy-arses on the telly!

I hope they cast Fra Fee as Marius, he was wonderful back in his understudy days, I saw him playing Monsieur Pontmercy was I was sweet 16 and Cosette's is not the only heart he stole that night.
