Whatever happened to We Will Rock Two? It was workshopped and rumoured for the Palace but it's all gone quiet. Not that I'd be keen to see it, I'm just intrigued as to how a sequel to a jukebox musical would actually work.

Pretty sure the Palace has a guaranteed show for an eternity now, so if it does happen, it won't be at the Palace.

Aha! I have got a feeling now that The Girlls could go to the Wynham's theatre after No Mans Land?
I only realise this because of their twitter page, any suggestions?

Mrs Henderson went to the Noel coward which is smaller but I know what you mean. It probably is too small. I think it could go to a Delfont theatre but could be an ATG one. I really ally want a transfer to be confirmed. Baz won't announce it yet and the girls twitter said its not long.

The Wyndham's is smaller than the Noel Coward capacity wise, not sure about stage wise but The Girls went to the Grand Theatre in Leeds and The Lowry in Salford both which are bigger theatres than the Theatre Royal Bath which is where Mrs Henderson played before it transferred. I think if it did transfer, it'd probably be the Phoenix or possibly the New London.

If Guys and Dolls doesn't extend again then I think it will go there. any ideas when this news will actually be announced??

I imagine David Pugh might want to get the upcoming revival of 'Art' rolling a bit more first.

I wonder where An American in Paris will go? It'll need a big theatre so I'm guessing either Drury Lane or Dominion

I am expecting An American in Paris to come over for a limited Season at somewhere like maybe the London Coliseum or Sadlers Wells.

Finding Neverland to Drury Lane. The Girls to Phoenix. An American In Paris to Dominion for a limited season.
My predictions.

What's going on after the Noel Coward? I assume they need to find an emergency replacement as Henderson was expected to do a year so I wouldn't be surprised if they just found a suitable sized touring production until then?

I imagine it'll be a play rather than a musical. Mrs Henderson's doesn't close for another two months so they're in no rush to announce the next production yet.

Finding Neverland to Drury Lane. The Girls to Phoenix. An American In Paris to Dominion for a limited season. My predictions. I agree with all of those however I'd like to see The Bodyguard run longer than 6 months at the Dominion so An American in Paris would have to wait or find a new theatre. I think Finding Neverland would last a year or 2

I would love Carousel . Didn't Lonny Price stage it a few years ago with NY Phil ?

42nd Street is an odd choice for ENO, it's much lighter in tone compared to Sunset and Sweeney Todd which might not be a bad thing.

^ would it work semi-staged? It's very dance-heavy isn't it? I'd rather Kiss of the Spiderwoman.

My choice is A Little Night Music with Jenna Russell as Desiree and either Angela Lansbury or Judi Dench as Madame Armfeldt

Kiss of the Spiderwoman yes. But I'd rather see someone else in this particular order: 1-A Latina 2-Someone who can sing 3-Someone who can dance
Honestly, this might cause a revolution but I think of Jennifer Lopez really gets out of her skin and puts on her acting hat and stops being JayLo, it can be thrilling. Sara Rimerez would also be fantastic.

I would love to see Sophie Okonedo back on the West End stage! Seeing her in Undecover makes me realise how much of a an amazing actress she is but she's always on Broadway!
I'd love to see A Raisin in the Sun transfer here from Broadway with Sophie Okonedo, Idris Eldba or Adrian Lester and Mica Paris!

42 nd st is next years musical at ENO Oh wow, can you imagine the opening, with that huge curtain going up just a few feet at first so we see a huge chorus line of synchronised kicking legs stretching the width of that enormous stage and hear that lush old-time-movie sized orchestra. Mind, I'd love Carousel with that kind of musical accompaniment too, but 42nd Street edges it as something we've not seen in London for far longer. I saw an OK amateur production at Richmond Theatre a few weeks ago. It was pretty good, but the orchestra made some mistakes here and there and the girl playing Peggy didn't have enough star quality to pull it off. It's a wonderful score (slightly cheesy and predictable book in my view) which I think would be fantastic with the full Orchestra.
