At the end, only myself and about three others cheered at the cast bows and most of the audience clapped at the end of the group number after the bows. Maybe it was just because the audience at Opening Night were very lively and gave a standing ofation that this felt very obviously lacking in comparison, but it just saddens me that people don't support new musicals. Maybe they just didn't like it? Why should anyone support new shows just because they're new even if they didn't like it? I didn't just mean about the specific audience not being supportive, I was meaning people not going to new musicals generally. my bad wording.

Daniel, we must have been at the same performance yesterday!
I thought the applause was okay. I didn't mind that Kerry wasn't on as I was going for Ramin mostly ("phwoarr"...!) and I liked the show itself quite a lot. My kind of music, But yea, I had waited for a fat discount to come along. Wouldn't have paid the original price for such a slight thing.
PS: Loved the girl in the row in front me who calmly began to unpack a sandwich in the middle of the show and chomped her way through until the finale...

I saw her! you must of been really close to me too unless there were more than one sandwich eater? I was in E11 I think, or E13.

Was anyone there tonight? Lin-Manuel Miranda was i was there. he seemed quite down and subdued when i passed him in the lobby - hard not to project the pence hamilton thing, but may well not have been anything at all. standing o at the end, but a few people leaving mid way through. thought the show was dire - forgettable music, forgettable design, phoned in performances, infuriating encore number post curtain call! victoria hamilton barritt was very good though - cant help but imagine it seved as an extended hamilton audition!!

What a waste of time and talent. Incredible cast but it was all just so FLAT and so DULL. What a waste. This needs to be taken off the west end asap... DISASTER. But Ramin took his top off so that was worth the £15

I saw this about a month ago and still haven't been able to word how much I hated it. Turned up with high hopes and VHB is a fantastic performer but that's honestly all I can note that was good. I almost wished there was an interval so I could run away home. A sung through rock musical about a set of toxic relationships- no thanks.

This one is quite polarising isn't it! I saw it a couple of weeks ago, not really knowing what to expect and I really enjoyed it. General consensus about how great VHB is though, and I'd thoroughly agree with that.

I'm annoyed I missed seeing Victoria Hamilton Barrett, given most comments seem to say she was the best thing about the show. However I can't face sitting through it a 2nd time in order to see her.

Anyway, she doesn't think of herself as white. Not that it matters, but I'd say she could definitely be considered for Hamilton

I don't know how much, but she's also part-Iranian if her and Ramin's posts are anything to go by

Does anyone know what time the show is over tonight? I should be over sometime between 9:20/9:30... originally the show was listed as 90 minutes, but then it has since changed to be listed as 80 minutes. Whenever I have gone it has kinda been in between the two.

Saw this today! Absolutely loved it! Victoria is a GODDESS. She was the star of the show for me. She's a beast.

Watched the show with no expectations and some curiosity.
Interesting. It was quite good, but as one review said the love story was very cliched and very "BBC 9pm drama" style. I was hoping the murder and the lead up to it would have taken up more of the show.
Thought the twist was very clever.
Excellent cast - however Ramin's sexiness made it very distracting and I kept veering off from the plotline into other trains of thought!!!! I had to smirk to myself when he was singing a number which had lines line "you belong to me" and it was like he went into Phantom mode - not a bad thing at all!!
Kerry Ellis was a revelation because she was actually good! In anything else I've ever seen her in she's been wooden as hell.
Victoria HB (Pencil!) was superb. I love her in everything. She has a unique voice for musical theatre and great stage presence.
The show was very much in the "Rent" mode. Not surprisingly to read after that one of the writers won a "Jonathan Larson prize". A post-Rent era musical. EEK!
So a show that definitely had it's moments - great performances and a good score, but a lot of it didn't hang together and was not particularly strong as a piece. In terms of a study of human relationships, it wasn't a patch on The Last Five Years and comes across as lightweight by comparison.

Did anyone else have zero applause the whole way through the show too?! When I saw it Saturday night the only applause came at the curtain call along with a lot of standing ovations! Same as when I saw it last Friday

This seems to be limping along to the end ticket sales wise as Kerry's fangirls seem to be there every evening. Was going to try and catch Natalie on but not sure it will happen now. On a certain facebook page I belong today, a young woman professed to have seen it SIXTY TIMES!!

So I saw this Thursday evening...
So far I think it's the best I've ever seen Kerry Ellis act. Unlike other roles I've seen her in, she actually deployed some acting chops instead of solely relying on her power belting.
Great use of projections throughout. In fact, technically the production surpassed my expectations, having thought they'd use very basic theatre mechanics. S
I booked a ticket for the 2nd row, but requested if I can move a few rows back because it is indeed ridiculously steep. The theatre had drizzles of people, but suffice to say not even close to being full.
The show reminded me of that film with Julia Roberts about infidelity. Forgot what it's called.
My overall impression is..why? Why do we need this? What does it add? It's not specifically entertaining, challenging, original, melodious or anything in particular. So..why?

Victoria H-B is the wrong ethnicity for Hamilton unless she were to play the King ?? REALLY? I thought there was a massive hoo-ha over this, and the casting will be completely colour-blind? (as it should be)

I'd book to see her singing the alphabet but some shows I could not watch more than once. This was one. Another was Cats.
