I have met BurleyBear on several occasions. He is a very friendly and lovely man.
A bear, but a sensitive one at that.

I've booked a matinee (fairly sure this particular theatre will allow a refund or exchange if necessary) nearby so am hoping that by then I'll be fit to attend. Nearer the time I will also book something for the evening but that should still allow me to drop in for 90 mins or so. I trust this means you are properly on the mend! Hurrah.

Re name tags, showgirl and alece10 I was thinking I’d just bring stickers and Sharpies and people can write their own. Some people may prefer to maintain anonymity and be called by their forum name, and they can write that, others might want to put both. The lovelything about events like this is a chance to put a face to a name, so connecting the human with the user name is the key. I’d struggle to remember to introduce myself as Happysooz so my tag will have both :-)

Beginning to wish that my username here wasn't my actual name! Feeling a lack of creativity on my part.

The lovelything about events like this is a chance to put a face to a name, so connecting the human with the user name is the key. I’d struggle to remember to introduce myself as Happysooz so my tag will have both :-) Provided there's room, I'm happy to put both my board name and real one (plus my "old board" name, which I only changed when this one started in the vain hope of avoiding the unwelcome attentions of someone who is no longer here) - but as even I struggle to read my handwriting, goodness knows how anyone else will fare. So that could prove interesting... at least I am (I hope!) clearly female, which alas means I have no hope of pretending to be another, as though @parsley would evidently have some takers, who wouldn't crave a few hours' experiencing @ryan's insouciance and flair? As recovering, @happysooz - thank you for the kind thought - I'm getting there. Had my post-up check-up yesterday and was looking forward to seeing my "new" foot (and escaping from the mega-bandage), so I now have some more manageable strapping and a different orthopaedic sandal which is slightly less awkward to hobble around in than the first one. Plus I'm officially allowed to walk a short distance, but I can see from the amount of swelling that I'll have to carry on with the RICE regime for now.

Will I need to wear my badge or will there be a bloody big sign by the table?

Aha. I'm the ripe old age of 22 so this might be a bit before my time. Certainly glad to be one of the members on here representing the Scottish contingent

Hello everyone. I'm announcing this here as I thought it would be the best place. Not that anybody will care BUT I realised I don't finish work until 6pm that evening so will be over for around 6.30. If anyone fancies staying later then I certainly will!

Well some people are simply determined to make an entrance, aren't they, Stephen? Not that you're the usual suspect, who for once shall remain untagged.

Oh dear: now I quite hope the usual suspect doesn't see this, as both he and another would definitely find a couple of opportunities there to lower the tone of this discussion!

Forgive me if this is a silly question, but is this in a designated area within the venue, or just the main part of the venue?

Is this still happening? On the 15th? I clicked on the doodle page but it seems to be gone.

Details are in the subject line, we have the table from 4-7.30pm, but I believe they are open to us staying longer. I need to email them, let me know if there is anything I can ask the venue.

I might just wander by!
But as the ultimate lurker on the boards I'll probably just walk in, sit at the bar with a coffee and watch you all from a distance!

Well I'm looking forward to it.
I'm not seeing a show and everyone that I have met from the boat so far has been lovely and easy to talk to so am looking forward to seeing some new people.

I'll probably be there on the earlier side and need to leave by six-sh to go see Hadestown!

So what's the procedure for getting in? Do we just walk in off the street and look for badges?

I will likely pop in, depending how my day goes. I’m in London from 10.40 to 7.20 and I have a list of shops I need to do and tentative plans with a couple of London based mates before I whiz back to stoke! Look for a short blonde woman in a bright orange coat with a tonne of shopping!!

Sadly I doubt I'll make it now. Have a friend coming down from up north that I haven't seen for ages.
Hope you all have a great time.

OK, bit odd: i’m Coming from up north and catching up with a friend tomorrow and his birthday is on the same day as yours! But I don’t think he likes theatre so much as to join a forum and I did see him in Oct so it’s not been ages! Funny coincidence!

Unfortunately I probably can't make it as I'm meeting my sister (apparently Christmas is all about family or something??) - possible I'll make it later in the evening if people are still around, so if those there could keep the thread updated if you stay or move beyond 7 that would be great!

I'd planned to come but I'm not sure I feel healthy enough to face the long trudge across town in the torrential rain. (Bloody rain. Where were you yesterday, when I was stuck indoors working?)
