So good I fact that I could close my eyes and almost imagine I was in the Theatre. Seems like we will be getting a rather comprehensive recording as a lot of dialogue included throughout the first number.

Its a shame they couldn't afford some real string players for the recording, that keyboard strings track in Yorkshire is quite distractingly bland.

Seems like we will be getting a rather comprehensive recording as a lot of dialogue included throughout the first number. The album last an hour and a half in total and given that the show lasted two hours/two hours 10 minutes excluding the interval, I think. So definitely a good length recording (of course there are the three bonus tracks in that 1.5 hours).

Ruth Madoc was excellent (along with Harry Secombe, Roy Castle, David Cardy etc etc) in the tour of Chichester's Pickwick more than 20 years ago!
I saw that, a wonderful production. Poor Roy Castle had just been diagnosed with cancer and I think it was probably the last thing he did professionally. I can hardly believe it was 25 years ago though.

This is going to be my most-played cast recording for a while I think. All the ladies sounding fabulous, so glad to have a full recording. Jo Riding had me in tears with Kilimanjaro

The recording is simply stunning. I can’t remember the last time we had such an extensive, studio recording of a West End musical, and of this quality.
Just reminds you what a strong cast this had.

I didn't dislike the old set (is that a double negative?) but I imagine it wasn't very practical to tour with. The new one could have been sponsored by the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

The new one could have been sponsored by the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Yeah because the show could do with a few more references to Yorkshire, there weren't enough last time I saw it

^ There's no such thing as too many references to God's own county.

Full cast is on AJC instagram. Not sure, but looks a bit smaller than the London cast. I assume they’ve cut a few roles, but from a bit of googling there only seems to be one actor young brought to play one of Danny/Tommo and can’t find anyone for Jenny. Really hope they’ve not cut those three characters. http://instagram.com/p/BiMPsSynK2f

Just seen a video with some performance clips from the press launch. Safe to say AJC and Rebecca Storm will nail this.

Worth watching right to the end for the half-hearted semi-ovation.
(And it's nice to finally see a modern bus in Yorkshire. I've long wondered what they look like!)

Can three people be classed even as a semi ovation? Are you walking around proudly warbling “I belong in Yorkshire” TallPaul?

Oh god. Can’t believe they are schlepping this around again.
The only positive they can hope for is that it raises some money for charity. Such a dull uninspiring show.
