Is the term "extreme dayseating" an actual thing? It is now

It's becoming more like weekseating now.
Most of the problems associated with dayseating would go away if the seats involved were whatever was left on the day, with a quota held back for release on the day if a performance was close to selling out. The way it's done at the moment it's almost as if the theatres want to cause problems.

A fair point. I dare say Wickeds crazies wouldnt be quite so keen if it was made clear that the seats on sale would be at the back of the circle. I dont think the theatre or producers would want that to happen though. It struck me on the occasions I dayseated there how vunerable a group of people it was, 90% young girls sat on steps through the night in central london. Maybe the demographic has changed now.

Last week we had everyone from parents in I'm guessing their mid 50s to student age kids. It's been that way most times I've done it. Actual bouncing up and down fan kids I don't think I've ever seen, though this time I was behind three Dutch students who I think maybe were here for Willemijn specifically from what little I could pick out. (And he conducted most of the way through the show).
The majority of the line was there by I want to say 8.30? My "on the steps with a costa" photo says I was there at 7.20... (that's from a 4am driving start, 2am when I roll in home so you see why I don't go earlier). 7-8 seems to be the time most arrive anyway. So very few ridiculously early people any more if it's not a special one.

On normal days it's fine, it's just special shows where it gets crazy.
I'd change the policy though from one ticket per show to one ticket per person for a cast chance. They really do not want to see the same people, in the same seats, for both shows! Give some others a chance to be there too!

I've only day seated once (never again). I got there about 8:15am and there were about 10 people already there, a mix of older "young professional" types and girly students.
By the time the Box Office opened there were more Japanese tourists in the queue than anyone else, and definitely too many people to all be able to get tickets!

Negamuse , did you day seat last week on Wednesday perhaps (12 July)? Because I have a feeling that those Dutch students could have been my friends and I I've only day seated twice so far and last week it was busier than last year (also mid July). I don't think that everyone in the queue even got tickets to one of the two shows that day.

Our very own isabel aka "TheatreBoard roving reporter" has been to the theatre and confirms on twitter that there's not 17 people queuing, a handful if that... And also confirms that there are security guards at Stage Door! Lol!

Has anyone gotten the email from the production today that was supposed to include a new photograph? Just curious to know as I've yet to get anything from them in my inbox.

She looks like Emily, plus wasn't this originally an Emily and Nikki photo and or an Emily and Ash one?
Also, Alice's hands are too dark a green!

This time tomorrow... Can't wait! I do hope Suzie is alright - would be a tremendous shame if she were forced to miss her final performance/s!

I'm sure she will pull herself out of her sickbed and do a flawless final performance, as Savannah did, despite bring very ill.

I'm tempted to get a ticket for Monday night - I've never seen a debut before.

Pouring with rain in London, can't think of anything worse than sitting / laying on a cold wet pavement all night.
