I don't really know the Millenium Forum, but I'm guessing it won't be the same scale as the last UK tours if it is touring. It must be like a new Kenwright or Selladoor scale production, especially if it's only playing for a week as well. Either that or it could be a school/amdram?

I've been wanting to see WWRY for a while. Hopefully this isn't too scaled down from the Dominion / previous tour productions. If it's Neil Eckersley and Speckulation Entertainment producing I won't bother going. It'll probably get cancelled after about 5 venues if it's him.

I’ve never had a huge interest to see this, it’s funny because I love Queen’s music, and the music appeals to me much more than that of Beautiful and other jukebox musicals I’ve seen but I skimmed the storyline on wikipedia and it just sounds so WEIRD, like how did it even become a thing? I can see how Queen’s music would transfer seamlessly to the stage though and obviously the musical must have been doing something right considering it ran so long at the Dominion.

The storyline is preposterous but somehow it works as a show, even though it shouldn't - it just always put a smile on my face even though I knew it was nonsense, I just had to suspend disbelief. And the special shows when Brian May and Roger Taylor appeared for the curtain call were on another level. I still vividly remember the London production's closing night!
I think it was also because the London production and tours also had many brilliant performers who I discovered through seeing that show - Rachel John, Sabrina Aloueche, Lauren Samuels, Amanda Coutts, Jon Boydon, Oliver Thompsett etc.

I absolutely love this show - although I admit I only started to somehow like it after a second visit. Based simply on the story it shouldn’t work but somehow it all fits together and I really miss having the show around.

If it ever came back to London it’d probably need to be at a smaller theatre. I doubt there’s as much demand for it these days sadly.
The Dominion is probably free soon. Revival?

I hated it when I saw the arena version. All I can think about is Kevin Kennedy looking like a prize plonker and that absolutely godawful book.
Having said that we’ve now had Bat which I loved and the similarities are undeniable. I suppose I’ll have to go see it. It might work better in a theatre, that arena version was just so cold.

The differences are massive Burls. Yes they’ve both got useless books, but at least Bat creates somewhere great to put it and emmerses you in the whole. As much as I love Queen those songs were shoehorned in and made zero sense. It looked awful and Ben Eltons risible humour cheapened what there was. Bat isn’t much better, but the whole satisfies somehow.

I missed the arena tour. Saw the first tour at the Palace and was massively dis appointed, even that was a poor reproduction of the Dominion show
