Lovely. Now can someone encourage Justin Trudeau-oh-OH to pop on a plane to come to the opening?

Excellent news - been wanting to see this for ages! And now it doesn't even matter that I might not make it to New York later in the year.

Very excited for this transfer. Heard a lot of good things about the show from those who’ve seen it on Broadway so I’m looking forward to it hitting the West End next year.

Amazing news. A truly touching piece of theatre. Loved it in New York. I really hope that it finds its audience in London.
I wonder if any of the amazing original cast may come with it!?

Having it open next year in London, means that I am able to see something else in NY in the autumn as it was going to be on a list of stuff I wanted to see. Thankyou theatre gods!

I am very excited about having a British actor play the British character. I LOVED the show on Broadway, but that accent made me cringe every time!

Feel like it might be all British cast (hope some Irish folk will be in it too seeing as it's starting in Dublin), which is exciting!

With it opening in February I believe it should just make the cut off for the Olivier Awards next year.

I read a while ago it has to of done at least 30 performances before the cut off to be Olivier eligable. So it is going to be very on the line if it does make eligability.

With it opening in February I believe it should just make the cut off for the Olivier Awards next year. So what could be nominated next year? Come From Away Strictly Ballroom Tina Turner - The Musical Heathers Fun Home Sylvia Twelfth Night Hadestown I read a while ago it has to of done at least 30 performances before the cut off to be Olivier eligable. So it is going to be very on the line if it does make eligability. The 2019 seems to be a very weak year for best musical, Come From Away has a great chance of winning next year. it will go head to head with Fun Home.

Never said it didn't have a great chance of winning, probably does. I just said it may be pushing it a tad on its eligability date dependant on the date they open.

Sylvia runs 5 performances short of eligibility so that can't get a nom. Not sure if Other Palace is eligible, which given that La Strada was eligible last season I guess it is (https://officiallondontheatre.com/news/eligible-productions-for-the-olivier-awards-2018-111407678/) but no mention of say Big Fish which surely should have been? #confused

We should also note that we haven't yet had announcements for other theatres like the Savoy and Garrick and rumoured closings of the likes of Drury Lane and Adelphi, so its a bit early to be predicting Oliviers just yet.

Don't disagree with you, but timing is everything in theatre, i'm just making a case that if they squeeze in for next years Oliviers they have a good chance of winning.

If we didn’t have premature speculation we wouldn’t have a forum!

I’d like to Dreamcast David Hunter as Chad Kimball’s Kevin. Or Bradley Judge! Yum. Claire Moore for Bula too. Sarah Harding as one of the trees.

Claire Moore or Machin would be great for Beulah Rachel Tucker for Beverley? Agree David Hunter would be a great Kevin

No one likes to suffer from premature speculation. It can be so embarrassing! I once came across a chap who wasn’t able to speculate at all. Spent a very, very long evening with him. That was no fun, believe me...

Come From Away will win every award going. It’s incredible, real. raw, smart, about thousands of people who died and millions who were affected (including those on a tiny Canadian Island!)
