Yes I've seen that, but I'd seen that listed on sites prior to today so assumed more dates were going to be released today. Still nothing offical released on their socials

Yeah the tour was confirmed to start at Curve Leicester in February 2024 when the tour was announced.

Did they seriously hype it for the announcement of one venue?

Isn’t CFA a very small show for such a big stage?

I assume it will be playing big stages around the country anyway. It wouldn't be the first small shoe to play on massive stages

Another two promo videos recently featuring Alice Fearne - should we assume that she will play Beverley on tour?

She’s great but I’d like to see someone else have a go.

I've recently read two Come From Away books. I expect they've been discussed on here already, but I'm quite late to the party having only been able to see the show live just before Christmas (and it's not like we have much else to talk about here at the moment).
I first ordered "The Day the World Came to Town" by Jim DeFede. This wasn't quite what I was expecting. I knew that there would be lots of different stories, many more than those depicted in CFA, but while some of the CFA characters were featured, some were only mentioned very briefly, and others not at all. (I suppose it came down to who the respective writers interviewed, and which stories they decided to prioritise.) I enjoyed the start of the book, but once it got past the 12th it began to feel a bit samey. And I didn't really feel any emotion at the end like I get with CFA - it just felt a bit like "and they all went home".
So then I ordered "Come From Away Welcome to the Rock". Now this book IS CFA. I thought it was absolutely brilliant - it contains a lot of background material about how the show developed and interviews with the original cast, the full libretto with comments from the writers and also some material that didn't make the final cut. Some of the background material and parts that were cut actually tie up with parts of the first book I read, so there is actually more overlap between the two books than between the first book and the show. This book will hopefully keep me going until next year's tour!! I'd definitely recommend it for fans of the show - if you love CFA, I expect you will love this book too.

If you haven't seen them, there are vids from a concert the Broadway cast did which were the songs that didn't make it into the show called "cut from away". Is quite fascinating watching which bits did evolve into other songs in the show.

Latest post on the CFA Instagram page today suggests someone else. Has Alice leaving "a little surprise for the next Beverley" while in Leicester.

Thank you, just saw the same post on Twitter. Not surprising but a shame nonetheless.

Come from away twitter account saying 2pm Tuesday.
Think maybe Oxford got it wrong? Does seem odd to announce on a bank holiday

Edinburgh Playhouse have posted the same teaser as the official account on Twitter. Bit surprised it’s going for such a large venue.

Heading to The Lowry rather than the Palace or Opera House in Manchester. 😀

Do we think someone didn’t look at a calendar before choosing the date? Definitely something that I would do. 😳🤦♂️
