Baz reporting that Cheryl Cole may be going into Chicago so we'll all be due a bit of quality in the Phoenix come February.

I am so giddy, I am so struggling to type this post, but freaking excellent news saw this both in Toronto and Broadway and it’s excellent, tender and very funny. Theatre fans are in for a treat. The role played on Broadway by Jenn Colette on Broadway, could be played excellently by our own Josie Walker.
This will bag the Olivier.

What a week with the announcement of 2 shows closing, one by default.
Come From Away announced along with On Your Feet (I didn’t see that one coming) and a rumoured Hello Dolly with Bette.
Someone here said that Waitress having casting notices and the producers of Dear Evan Hansen expressed a interest of intent of bringing their show over.
So if I can give a bit of friendly advice, speak to the bank manager about extending your overdraft.

I went back to Everybody's Talking About Jamie last weekend and has this exact same thought! I think Jenn and Josie are similar in so many ways, Josie would be a great pick for this!

I'm looking forward to seeing it, but not in a hurry to do so. Its obviously the best place for it as it is a show thatI think will rely a bit on reviews for success in the long run, but sometimes its best to take the risk.

*Happy dances around the room*
Wow - this is the best news to wake up to. I may as well take up a residency at the Phoenix from February, goodness knows I’ll be going there a lot by the looks of this once Chicago razzle dazzles away.

Very happy about this, too. It's such a lovely little show with a big heart and I can't wait to see it live.
Wonder if Chicago had only ever been planned as a quick filler because they knew this was coming.

I'm not as excited as many on here mainly because I know little about the show. I know the basic plot and think I heard EP play one of the songs a while back. I may have to listen to the soundtrack over the weekend. Curbing my excitement until then.

Lovely news. Finally something new and exciting.
I have a feeling next year will be one of the most exciting years for Broadway transfers and new openings that we've had for a while.

Fell in love with this show in NYC this year so I’m so thrilled it’s coming over here. Jenna Russell please...!

Baz is a generally reliable source. Whenever something he's predicted hasn't come to fruition, it's usually been because those involved changed their minds, rather than because he was making stuff up. Chicago was only ever planned as a stop-gap as far as I'm aware. It might now extend its currently booking period to January, but I don't think anyone was under the illusion it would be hanging around for years this time round.
