It's the form of the link that I challenge. This tweet from Alex Brightman has a *hint* of suggestion that he could be coming - or he literally could just be taking about the character & show, seeing as the kids from Broadway won't be coming over....we assume!
Also, I guess my wish of Nathan Amzi won't be fulfilled as there's no way he'll leave Aladdin 5 months after starting!

School of Rock UK's Twitter follows only three people - Andrew Lloyd-Webber, School of Rock USA and Alex Brightman...another clue he may be being lined up for it, or just a coincidence!

Alex Brightman also liked my tweet about hoping that he'll come over with the production... not that that liking a tweet actually means much.
I really hope he does. He is just fabulous on the cast album.

I agree I hope Nathan Amzi gets a shot, I've spoke to him about it after In The Heights & he really was hoping it would transfer, he really is perfect casting, high rocky vocals with a cheeky comedy charm, very Rock of Ages but really good actor too after seeing him do Shakespere & recently at the Menier. Killian managed to leave Memphis early for Kinky Boots didn't he? So maybe that could happen?
If not then Dan Buckley or Tim Prottey Jones? Alex of course is great from what I've seen but we have got UK talent here. I thought the deal with bringing people over from the USA was that they needed to prove they couldn't find someone here? Isn't their some work visa rule like that or am I making it up? I've heard it's something like an exchange scheme whereby if they send us an American Equity performer we send a British member to Broadway. I have a vague memory of hearing that Steve Pemberton was supposed to play Man in Chair in Drowsy Chaperone on Broadway before the West End but they couldn't make it work because of that.
Just thinking they don't have long to find those talented kids do they! unless they are bringing them too?
Looking forward to seeing it here either way with We Will Rock You and Rock of Ages gone I'm looking forward to some fun pop rock back in the West End.

They've had a few British performers on Broadway with the cast of King Charles III, A View to a Bridge, The Crucible, The Color Purple etc so it's possible sending Alex Brightman over wouldn't be an issue.

This must be a record for a transfer of a show from Broadway to the West End and vice versa, under a year and especially for such as an intricate show, I will be surprised if they get this show up and running in 4 months, especially when you have to duplicate the children's roles.

So was I expecting the transfer to take longer.
It would be cool if Alex Brightman did come over, all round nice guy, when I spoke to him in New York, but saying that I did say that Billie Porter needed to come over with Kinky Boots. Who knew we had someone of the quality of Matt Henry, who went on to win the Olivier, could be the same with Alex Brightman, we already have another with star potential over here, but who?

I wonder if Sierra will come over to play Rosalie? If not who else could play the part? They would need to have a powerful soprano to sing Queen of the Night and also have a very strong belt. Celinde Schoenmaker?

This will be a really cut down version.. The set is pretty huge in New York I would've thought it would have to be due to the way the stage is at the New London. The stage comes out into the audience so there isn't that much room for flying scenery or automation I would've thought?

The thrust doesn't actually extend that far!

If I'm right in my thinking, the New London is a really flexible theatre space. It can be set up as a "traditional" proscenium arch auditorium or it can be a full- or semi-thrust stage, as the production demands. Please do correct me if I'm partially or totally incorrect!
