Almost certainly - its a touring set that they put into the West End so I'd expect this to be looking to head back on the road end of 2023/early 2024 I have it good authority (friend knows someone at a touring theatre) that there’s a tour planned once it closes Falls off seat in shock 🤣

Happy 90th birthday to Petula Clark! No show tonight, but perhaps if she’s performing tomorrow they might bring a cake on for her at the end?

Premium ticket prices have gone crazy for the last month's shows. And the final show is now almost sold out (only 16 tickets left at 225 pounds each--they cost 175 pounds two weeks ago!)

I saw the Sunday matinee this weekend in a prime stalls seat in row H (thanks to TKTS). Though the show's in its final weeks, from the energy and the sparkle on stage you really cannot tell. Enjoyed Zizi Strallen in the role much more than on my last visit (pre-COVID!).
A really excellent production with a huge amount of magic and heart. 5/5.

Just a had listen now. I'd agree alece10 , a really interesting insight into how Charlie prepares for his role as Bert.

A wonderful performance last night. The show is in great shape (perhaps even better than it was three years ago when I last saw it). Petula Clark was sooooo good! Zizi and Charlie were amazing. Charlie Anson was also very good and so was Francesa Lara Gordon as Mrs. Banks. It was the first time I'd seen Liz Robertson and I enjoyed her performance a lot. I also loved the fact that they were dancing in a circle while the curtain was going down at the end (I wonder, was this because it was New Year's Eve? It brought to my mind scenes from the original P.L. Travers books--there's even a chapter about New Year's Eve!) Will be back for the last show next Sunday. Do go and see it if you haven't seen it so far!

I went on Wednesday for a final visit. The show was as brilliant as ever. The leads are just perfect, but that goes for the whole cast really. Even Petula was decent. Still can’t fathom how kids so young can be so bloody talented!

I was expecting speeches too. I noted lots of discussions with the MD at the end of the interval, like something had to change. Might have been something else but who knows. Today’s performance Was a great send off!

Today’s performance Was a great send off! I agree, it was superb. Mary's line: "It's time isn't it Bert?" was a choker and they did well to hold it together. Aside from a fantastic closing performance, when so much emphasis is placed on audience phone etiquette, it was a shame that one of the brass section chose to have their phone propped up with the football on. It was very distracting to anybody in the slips/loge/box seats and shows a degree of contempt towards the paying punters.

I was there. What a wonderful show this is. It really is fantastic and will be a huge miss to London. I have lost count how many times I have watched it but it still brings so much joy.
Fantastic audience. I was in the grand circle and hadn't realised I was sat right near where she goes on her "journey". Still one of the most amazing sights in theatre.
Cannot say enough good things about this show.

To clarify/reassure, permission to discreetly record the final flight and curtain calls was granted by the theatre upon request.

Such an incredible show this afternoon. Loved this show ever since I saw the 2nd preview of the original production back in December 2004. Also happened to be my first West End show. Saw the previous tour many times, as well as the 1st preview of this London run and a few more times between then and today. Was a very emotional day, I teared up multiple times. As with Zizi and most of the audience, the tears finally escaped during the last moment between Mary and Bert "it's tonight isn't it?" Hardly a dry eye in the room when she said "yes Bert".
Was shocked by the lack of any speeches, but the 2nd encore was a delight. The cast just didn't want to leave the stage. Was also nice to see the swing involved in costume at the curtain call.
The midshow standing ovations were very much deserved. Hoping it isnt too long until Mary flies back into a theatre.
Til we meet again Mary.

Was the show really not doing well enough to have kept it going longer. There's much love for this show. I'd love to have been there yesterday, having been at the early performances at the bristol Hippodrome nearly twenty years ago. The best flying I've seen was at the Manchester Palace - truly wonderful.
