Well, they'd be very unlucky to end up with a King Arthur at this point (unless Charlie-boy or William decided to adopt it as their regnal name) as that would mean Charles, William, George and Caroline were all dead.... I actually think she is... 😂 Oh, I am so bad at remembering names....

Why not opt for something a bit old fashioned such as Mason or Ethan?

Being born on St George’s day we might have expected... George, but that’s gone. To Big Brother.
So that leaves a remembrance of our Willy’s birthday, but that’s gone as well... To Dad.

I have no ideas on this one even I predicted Charlotte's full name before she was born.

I think it could be Arthur. I'm not too fond of Albert.

George is George Alexander Louis, and Charlotte is Charlotte Elizabeth Diana. If they're not up for any duplication of any sort, I reckon that rules out Charles as well. Ok, so they have Philip available and the nation would love it, no?

Ok, so they have Philip available and the nation would love it, no? Albert Frederick Philip. Or Frederick Arthur Philip. Albert and Arthur both sound likely, I'm clinging to a Fred name and I think Frederick is more likely than Alfred, and although the nation is not universally enamoured of Prince Philip, I would be very surprised if there wasn't a Philip tucked away somewhere in the middle.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm very happy The Duchess has had the baby safely, but it's nowt that women across the world don't do every day. However, ITV have rolling coverage and they have cancelled Tipping point ffs. Move on there is nothing to see. Philip is my nomination though I always feel sorry for her that she has to show up outside with the baby just a few hours after giving labour being all groomed and pretty. Philip fits well with the other names.

that leaves a remembrance of our Willy’s birthday, but that’s gone as well... To Dad. They could perhaps call him John Thomas in that case? Close enough. I hear quite a few at the Palace favour Dick... John Thomas... I have a great uncle (still alive) who was christened John Thomas, and my lasting memory of family parties in my childhood was when all the grown-ups used to roll back from the pub (having left us kids to occupy ourselves at home) a little bit tipsy. Then some singing. Then the knees up. Then... someone would raise the subject of Uncle John's name. And we'd all roll about in fits of laughter, although I don't think I got the joke at the time. You just laughed because everyone else did. But I did get the joke about Uncle John which was also rolled out at every single gathering: when he was a young boy he once came home from school having pooped his pants. My great nan had told him off. Uncle John had apparently told her, "It wasn't me, it was someone else that put it there!" More screaming with laughter...

My eldest said to me last night that the baby should be called Bob. If you go down the children’s cartoon characters path, it goes well with George (Peppa Pig), with Bob representing that great children’s classic Bob The Builder. Not quite sure if Charlotte fits the pattern though...

I suggest they be inspired by the supreme imagination that is Andrew Lloyd Webber and call him The Other Prince.

Considering that in the past the lesser royals used to call the Queen and Prince Philip Brenda and Keith, Prince Brenda or Prince Keith would make a nice homage to his great grandparents.

It would appear Albert is looking more likely
I just think that would be cruel on the poor kid. Being named after a famous 19th Century Prince is fine - if it weren't for it also being the name of a piercing.

My bet is on The Other Palace’s other name, James. (Interestingly, the Westminster Theatre, which the St James replaced was originally built as the Charlotte Chapel!)

If he ever did make it to the throne, he would be the second Louis to do so. Even though the first one is not really talked about!

Disappointed in the lack of originality. I know if you want traditional names you've got a reasonably limited pool, but Louis is already one of George's middle names, and Charles is the masculine form of Charlotte, surely they could've done better than naming the new child after both of its siblings? I always felt bad for my sister that her middle name is similar to my first (well, after I spent years being confused that my middle name wasn't a variant on her first), this is just an amplified version of that, and a very weirdly unoriginal set of names.
Also, Louis's been a pretty popular name for years now. When he gets to school, he's going to be at LEAST the fourth in his class.

Obviously named after my grandfather who was a Louis and the name goes down in his grandchildren, my cousins. Lovely name.
