I think it's a lot easier for CFA. I think there's been only one time I tried that I couldn't get rush. You’ve been luckier than me - I have to plan in a 300 mile round trip as well so I’m usually at the train station as the clock on my iPad flips over to 10:00 and the tickets are already in other people’s baskets (😡) I’m usually trying for a Wednesday matinee and I only want one seat 😭😭 If you can keep checking for 5-10 minutes after 10am, you should be able to pick up a single ticket fairly easily. I was doing that yesterday, after a pair but just seeing what was coming up, and about 7 different single tickets popped up between about 10.05 and 10.20am.

I also check it out a lot just to see what’s available and for how long to judge how popular shows currently are. I find that they all go at 10.00am with lots of people checking. They sit in checkout baskets for 10 minutes and are then released again. I’ve always purchased most of my Rush tickets between 10.10am-11.00am, but also find shows like Fiddler and 9to5 still having Rush tickets available after midday.

When rush tickets have gone for the day and it says come back the next day, do they ever reopen them for the day? Sorry if this has been answered before!

I noticed today (don't see this mentioned here already) that they've found a way around the "cheat" by letting everyone on that second page with a countdown clock, regardless of what time your phone is set to. Not sure how early this appears, I only looked a couple of minutes before 10am today.

Does anyone know what Wicked Daily Dozen is like now? My usual seats in the high numbers of front stalls have been priced up and are no longer worth getting. Daily Dozen is £29.50 for random seats which seems more worthwhile doing, especially for me as I don't really dayseat.

Depends what day I think, if a weekday you will not have a problem and on a weekend its easy to get 1 ticket. On Saturday I kept on getting Row J circle and then I randomly got row T stalls. I love it for repeat viewings

I find the way TodayTix sell their current £25 tickets somewhat bizarre and frustrating.
I searched for one ticket to see Lion, Witch and Wardrobe using the £25 offer, not keen on first seat offered on the date I want, tried "google incognito" with first ticket in basket, and was offered a second better seat but still decided to leave it.
When I looked again the next day it first offered me the second seat but when I left it in the basket and went incognito the system then offered the same seat number but two rows forward.
I realise that better theatre seats is a subjective view, but it doesn't seem to be a standard first to buy gets best available on TodayTix .

9 to 5 tends to be one of the ones that's easy enough for Rush tickets. If you get nothing immediately after 10am, check back a bit later for when they either get released from people's baskets, or they bung the unsold tickets on as Rush tickets.
A few weeks ago on a Saturday I got a single ticket in Row H stalls at about midday for the matinee.

All that money they saved from not honouring members credit seems to have added up.

Sorry if this has been asked (and answered) before. I have just received an email from TodayTix regarding Waitress that I should have been seeing today. They are offering a voucher for 110% of the original ticket cost. Is there any way of contacting them to say I would rather have a refund? It's one of those non-reply emails.

Is this even legal?
I have £238 worth of shows booked with TodayTix between tonight and 22nd April - all of which I imagine will (and should) be cancelled. As I'm now basically unemployed I am probably going to need that money!
Edited to add - especially for a measly 10% extra!

What good is a 110% voucher going to do if I bought tickets during Theatre Week? Isn't it illegal not to refund? I'm all for donating refunds to theatres but not when the company is actively truing to defraud people!

I just got my email through for tonight, with no way to reply -
Hello mrnutz,
The performance of City of Angels on 18 March 2020 at 19:30 was cancelled.
We’re sorry to see so many theaters close, but we’re inspired by seeing our community come together to keep us all safe. We know theaters will reopen, the show will go on, and you’ll want to be there when it does. This is why we’d like to offer you a TodayTix voucher worth 110% of your order value.
Voucher Details:
- 100% what you paid PLUS a 10% bonus: 110% of the original value - Can be redeemed on any show or performance on the app or TodayTix.com - Valid in any of our 16+ cities globally - Valid for 12 months
We hope this will make it easy for you to treat yourself to an upgrade or a few more shows in the future!

It's in the T&Cs of their "Buyers Guarantee" that they're entitled to refund via a voucher if they want:
It might be fastest if you take it up with your credit card company.

I'm all for donating refunds to theatres but not when the company is actively truing to defraud people! I e-mailed support@ to ask for a refund instead of the voucher that I'd been sent originally. Had a reply and confirmation around 10 minutes later that they had refunded the tickets (less the £3 booking fee).

I note that their T&C's say they may offer a voucher in lieu - not that you have to accept it. Glad they're giving refunds if asked, but I daresay lots of people will just take the voucher on the assumption that's the only option. They should really make it clear in the email that it isn't.

That's good to know about emailing, thank you. My tickets aren't till the end of April, but will assume they're not going ahead until I hear otherwise. Once we're nearer the time I will give them an email and ask for a refund.

I guess that is their whole plan, to hope that people won't ask. But as you said, they really should make it clear. I booked three tickets for Waitress, for me and two friends and got a voucher covering all three tix, which makes sense. But is not really practical for our situation. So used their FAQ form to ask if they can split the voucher into three, so we can all go and use the voucher for whatever we want, otherwise we'd like a refund.
Haven't heard back yet but no rush on our part, as there is no theatre to spend it on for a while anyway.

I'm wondering if this will apply if you make bookings now and they are subsequently cancelled? {Spoiler - click to view} Might be a good opportunity to get a guaranteed 10% boost on future TodayTix bookings

Hmm, bit of a cheek to have a 12 month expiry considering nobody knows how long theatres will remain dark. I wonder how strictly they'll be adhering to that and whether they'll still offer cash refunds if I left it, say, 10 months before deciding that there is nothing I want to use the vouchers for. I also booked three tickets and the couple I was going with are having a baby in August, so it's likely they'll want a refund, whereas I will probably take the voucher (for now at least). I've got two further shows booked for May, which I'm currently assuming will also be cancelled, so I'll wait until then and contact them.
