I assume Elton John, Stephen Daldry and Lee Hall will be there for the final performance.

I'm there for the matinee. I'm slightly confused though, I know the evening show is all 4 Billys but I've not seen anything about the matinee. Is it normal? I'm wondering because somewhere I saw something that implied the last Billy had his final full performance tonight but I can't find anything that mentions the matinee. Of course it doesn't really matter, since I'll find out soon enough, but I'm curious.

Is it bad though that as much as I loved Billy and am sad it is closing, I am wayyyyy more excited for Funny Girl starting performances down the road today?

Farewell to Billy, can I just say what an impressive training ground it is for young performers? A former Billy is the new Spider-Man, many have appeared in other west end shows, a few in Matthew Bourne's company and multiple appearances on the telly between them.

I'm on my way now (and sneaking in another visit to sunset boulevard on the way). I'm excited that they are going to have all 4 Billys. Are there any other changes for tonight?

As in, alternate scenes? Or just a special finale ending? I probably won't notice being so far away. I may bump into you at some point Fiyero if we're both at Sunset mat and Billy night. Not that I'll have any clue who you are.

One of the best and most wonderful musicals around and one that you thought would just be a permanent fixture in the West End. At least there's the DVD!

Were people made aware that there were no dayseats haha? Haha well I walked past the VP on Wednesday and there was an A4 sheet of paper on the front of the theatre detailing that day seats wouldn't be available today - not sure whether there was just that one or if there were more along the front. But it drew my eye so hopefully it was common knowledge! Theatremonkey posted a helpful reminder on twitter last night, too. Have heard no reports so far that there was any accidental queuing so hopefully it worked!

Billy has had a great run but the show still continues on its UK tour so it's not going away entirely and I look forward to the VP getting a new show after its refurb whether it be Hamilton or something else.

I am there tonight in the Dress Circle in the slips LS4, probably the worst seat in the house!!!
Be cool if Elton John played the boxing coach. I hop no one has got a last train to catch.

I ummed and ahhed about the 11pm coach or midnight coach home from Victoria. With the show already running 3 hours, not including whatever may happen at the end I booked the latter. Hopefully it'll be over by midnight......

Whilst I think it's let down by a truly dreadful score, I'm having a moment of sadness that it's closing. It has given endless numbers of kids the chance to perform in the west end, and certainly whenever I've seen it, they have always been extraordinary. Each time rising to the challenge of the sensational choreography. Au Revoir Billy.. I bet tonight will be a pretty amazing evening.

It's crazy to think that, by the time the beginning of 2017 comes with Charlie closure, Matilda will be the only child heavy show on the West End! I mean, I know something like Kinky has two children but that is only for the opening scene and the bows, whereas two huge child heavy shows close within a year of one-another!
