Sorry that I’m interested in music on a deeper level. I think there’s a difference between being interested in music on a ‘deeper level’ and desperately trying to form an argument discrediting a fresh, new and popular show by picking out a few beats that may or may not be similar to a song from another show, which are actually entirely a coincidence (if that coincidence exists at all - those 2 songs sound absolutely nothing like each other!) Sure, I understand what you're saying. The intention wasn't to start an argument whatsoever. I only intended to respond to the comments in which I was given, so I apologise. I wasn't aware that it was "entirely a coincidence" as it is not a show I am interested in (as I'm sure you can tell ). So, again, I apologise.

To be honest, as a non-liker of the show, I thought that the performance was relatively okay. Until it got slapped with a complete rip off of Hamilton. Then it went downhill. I’d like to mention that Starlight Express famously had the rap section in it - written in the 80’s. Saying Six is like Hamilton because of a small rap section is wrong.

I never said the show was like Hamilton - I don’t think it is. It was just that single section of the song that reminded me of it.

It's just if you've got two musicals that came into being at a similar sort of time and they're both largely influenced by the popular music of the day then it's a helluva stretch to cite conspiracy or rip-off when you perceive similarities, rather than just realising that similarities are going to happen in these cases. I apologise for using the term “rip-off”. Just sounded immensely similar. Didn’t mean any harm Was just voicing an opinion. I also got a Hamilton-vibe from some of the performance! That is certainly not a criticism, just an observation.

I too don’t believe for a moment that pianowithsam was trying to instigate a row with his comments. It’s not a huge stretch to suggest there are similarities. This definitely doesn’t warrant multiple people pointing and telling him he’s wrong.

I thought their performance was their best to date! They jam packed loads of energy on that stage! As usual, it attracted some negative comments on Twitter, but you can't please everyone. The racist comments were totally unwarranted. I'm all for people voicing their opinion and saying they personally didn't like it, but attacking the actresses is totally wrong.

Saw this last night with my daughter for the first time.It is a barnstormer of a show.A full-on pop concert vibe with a wonderfully witty, slightly raunchy set of songs.Easy 5 stars.Sat in E13/14...great seats on the stalls rake.Met 4 of the queens for pics and autographs after the show.A lovely stress-free and respectful stage door experience in the show foyer.

I'm really sorry if this has already been asked but does anyone know if the current cast will still be in London in October? Also, I'm assuming it's a different cast going on tour?
Thank you

Thank you I believe the cast have contracts until january. I have read somewhere that Grace leaves in August, not sure about Courtney or Vicki.
As for the tour, it has been confirmed that it will be a new cast.

Yes, Grace finishes in August because she’s leaving to do & Juliet

It will be interesting to see how it works in some of the larger venues on tour given the Arts theatre is an intimate 350 capacity venue. I had thought the tour might be widened to smaller more provincial theatres, hopefully it will be in due course. Without a huge set, it could be accomodated in a lot of these venues even if it was for just a night or two's run.
Plus with show being only 75 minutes it's ideal for a taster to musical theatre for younger fans and everyone can be in the bar by 9pm.

Really need another trip to see this show. Just been listening to the cast album and it really is a catchy score 😍 So many musical scores these days I think are a bit too into themselves, and the creators forget that people just love/want a good melody, and I think this show succeeds with that for the most part!

Anyone else find it a bit odd that the Chicago Six cast keep their American accents?

Anyone else find it a bit odd that the Chicago Six cast keep their American accents? No. The original uk cast haven’t slavishly recreated accents from the sixteenth century, nor are they using appropriate language of the time. Cheesy girl groups weren’t really ‘de rigeur’ then either. Why would it matter what accent they sing these made up words in?

Anyone else find it a bit odd that the Chicago Six cast keep their American accents? No. It doesn't really matter, and I'd rather they keep their own accents and sound amazing rather than try to force a British accent and sound bad.

Anyone else find it a bit odd that the Chicago Six cast keep their American accents? I just heard a brief video and don't think those are American accents. Please post a video.
Do remember that the not all of his wives were British. They didn't form a girl group either.

As others have said, I’d rather they used their own accents than butcher a British accent.
That said, and this is just my personal opinion, Don’t Lose Ur Head is so Lily Allen/Kate Nash in style that to my ear it just doesn’t sound quite right being sung in a non-London accent.

^In the London programme, each Queen has a detailed historical bio (part fact and part supposition), which includes a Queen-spiration which is basically which famous pop star has inspired each Queen. When you pick apart the concept and structure of SIX it is totally absurd but great fun!

Getting ready to board my flight to London. Very excited. Quick question. Would I be able to see Six The Musical Thurs at 6pm and make it to the 7:30pm Rosmersohn curtain up on time. Thanks in advance.

Thanks in advance. Pick up your Rosmersholm ticket before you go to Six and you should make it fine, Six is 75mins long so should be done by 7:15 and the Duke of York's (where Rosmersholm is) is literally a 3min walk away. If you haven't already booked for Six, I'd recommend booking a seat in the dress circle on either of the side aisles so you can get out as fast as possible. The Arts Theatre is small so you'll still have an amazing view in the dress circle.

I will have The Rosmersohn ticket in hand. My ticket for Six the musical is D1 in the stalls. Not much availability so I grabbed what I could. Thank you so much for your helpful and encouraging reply.

Thank you so much for your helpful and encouraging reply. No worries! Good that you're on an aisle so you should be able to get out of the theatre quickly, because there's only one door in/out of the stalls it can get bottlenecked easily so be ready so get out sharpish once the MegaSix has finished

Thank you so much for your helpful and encouraging reply. Yeah, you’ll be fine. Rukaya is right about getting out ASAP - the stairs get blocked quickly, but if you get your bag etc in hand during the megasix and run up the aisle as soon as the girls have taken their final bow and the band start the play out you’ll be fine. I’ve had to do it many a time to run for a train. Good luck!

I like the idea of out of one show and straight into another - gives a whole new dimension to double show days.

Good performance, but for me it just doesn't work out of context. Anyone else feel the same? Based on the one off-performances I have seen, I have absolutely no desire to see the whole show.
