I’m in New York right now and walked past the theatre yesterday before the evening not many people waiting outside and this was before the show was starting. It was the Super Bowl (big American football game) last night.

This seems really out of the blue. I wasn't really paying attention to the grosses for this one particularly, but I was under the impression it was a hit?

This was really interesting to read, and no it's not a negative on The Band's Visit, I just found it interesting so figured I'd share. The amount of performances of BEST MUSICAL WINNERS from the 2000's: 01. Jersey Boys - 4643 02. The Book of Mormon - 3284+ 03. Hairspray - 2642 04. Avenue Q - 2534 05. Kinky Boots - 2507 06. I never walk out of shows but today I did very disappointed I wish I’d have gong to see the prom instead. You walked out in the middle of the show (I presume, given it has no interval) - I'm sorry, but in my mind (and most performers', judging by recent social media on the subject) that really is rude! Not to mention distracting for those around you. I couldn't believe when I saw this show how many people couldn't last the 90 minutes without going out and returning - I appreciate some people may have medical issues, but not the number of people who were going out to the toilets in a 90 minute show, which really isn't that long. 2 hours or more I can understand, but not a short show.
