Well the right person went. Jonnie shouldn't have been there though so I'm pleased he went through.

Glad Ruth went - there now seems to be a gap between the top 4 - Debbie, Alex, Davood, Joe and the other 4 - Susan, Gemma, Mollie, Jonnie.
Only Mollie, Jonnie and Davood have been in bottom 2 so we don't know how many public votes say Gemma and Susan are getting, so guessing who goes next could be hard. Jonnie will probably get a bounce next week in public votes as Mollie may have done this week so Gemma could be in danger as Susan has outscored her sometimes and may get the Scottish vote and the popular vote for being a trier and bringing some comedy to it.

Blimey - didn't see that result coming
Debbie v Jonnie in the dance off
Debbie didn't have a good night - but that was undeserved
Jonnie was stitched with a bad routine and a bad look. Something more traditional would have saved him (though not against Debbie)
Susan was the worst dancer on the night and survived.
Bye Jonnie - you did well but not as well as may had hoped.

Mollie must have got a big voting hike as she was behind Debbie on Leader's board. We don't know what percentage of Public votes Susan is getting, she may be seen as the underdog but Jonnie could well be seen as a great role model given his disability. I thought this week it might be a truer vote as people have got to Blackpool so it's not like they are missing out on making the trip.
Debbie will probably get a big vote hike next week which could put Mollie in danger again with possibly Susan.
I had thought that this year was breaking into two groups - Alex, Debbie, Joe, Davood and then Gemma, Mollie, Jonnie and Susan but Gemma had a big week this week so could she be seen as a contender or is it a one week bounce.

So has it been leader board points not voters keeping Debbie so far? Thought post Aston people would be voting to make sure they're favourites stayed in so ....?

I think it is more likely that she had a corny routine that didn't resonate in a style that didn't suit. She has got through the party dances now - she can focus on ballroom for most of the rest - which will suit her far better

I thought this week it might be a truer vote as people have got to Blackpool so it's not like they are missing out on making the trip. The truer vote is sometimes the week after Blackpool - that's when Ed Balls was eliminated last year. I won't be surprised if Susan goes next week. Sad to see Jonnie go, but more because I love Oti and her creativity more than particularly caring about Jonnie as a dancer. I really admire what he's achieved, but he had plateaued over the last few weeks. I'm surprised Mollie has such a strong vote, but the next few weeks will be a test for her. Debbie had a terrible week this week but should be back in ballroom and get a post-dance off bounce next week. I suspect it'll be Mollie v Susan next week - they are likely to be both at the lower end of the leaderboard and the lowest scorers in the Paso Doble-a-thon.

So yet again the great unwashed prove just what a bunch of gullible fools they really are.

Well that is a great shame- Jonnie had a rough few weeks that weren't his fault. Also got very sick of the judges banging on about posture when we all know it's at least in part due to the prosthetic. As much as I'm glad he wasn't treated 'differently' because of his disability, it does seem unfair to repeatedly focus on the one thing he can't help- especially when there are other more constructive comments to make (and that others get away with far more). I'm sad for him because he was learning to dance and learning to 'perform' neither of which are his natural comfort zone.
Bit of a shocker for Debbie, but it wasn't the greatest dance and we quite often get a leading celeb in the dance off at this stage, when the public assume they're safe.
And as for the moaning about the show...I'm inclined to say, if you don't like it don't waste your time watching!

It was only a matter of time before Jonnie went. He was the weakest dancer left. As for Debbie she should not have been in the dance off although admittedly she was not at her best on Saturday. Hope she returns to her best next week.

And, indeed, Susan has been eliminated. At last.
Mollie next and then Gemma - at least that is how is should go.

Swap Mollie and Gemma around and you have the order I think they should go in - feels to me like Mollie is improving and Gemma is getting worse! Right result this week of course, and a dance-off that will cause shocks in the studio on the broadcast when it's announced but isn't really shocking at all - classic situation of someone who the general public thinks is popular being mid-table with a tie and having danced a fairly forgettable dance.

Joe should be out before either of those two, hugely annoying and his latin dances look awful, gangly and messy. He's getting through on being a nice guy and tryer, not because he's a very good dancer.
I don't think Gemma is getting worse. She got her first 10's last week. What could she do with that awful routine this week?

What could she do with that awful routine this week? Joe can at least do the steps with the correct technique, which is more than Susan is capable of, so I don't agree he should have gone before her. I expect he's winning the public vote by miles, so I think he'll be around for a long time yet. If I were going to put a bet on the winner now, I'd be betting on him. Personally I was astounded Gemma got 10s last week, there were so many things wrong with that dance. She's been consistently overmarked and overhyped for me, and she should be the one to leave next.

Poor Susan. Perhaps she should have starred in one of Craig's shows and she might have stayed another week.

I’ll not miss getting an eye full of Susan’s knickers almost every week. I don’t know why, but I’ve never noticed that happening to the same extent with any other contestant. It’s like they were doing it in purpose.

Yes am glad Susan is out at last, several weeks later than she should have been but at least she is out. Debbie was amazing again. Difficult to call who will be in the final now with Joe improving too.

She stopped being entertaining weeks ago - around the time of the ill-judged GoT-themed dance. This week, she struggled to walk in a straight line on a bench. Last week she just stomped through the dance - no footwork at all. She has had a better run than her dance ability would have normally allowed. But there was precious little entertainment value there - other than applauding her effort.

Poor Susan. Perhaps she should have starred in one of Craig's shows and she might have stayed another week. I thought that Craig was the director of the Strictly Live tour (I’ve Googled and can’t find anything to back this up, but I was pretty sure he did) so- if this is the case- she’s one of the (very) few who has signed up to be in one of his shows as it stands!
